Our property is 60 acres of idyllic Pacific Northwest wilderness. Located just a few miles from the Columbia river, enjoy a private, serene valley all to yourself! There are many trails and forest to explore, along with a creek running through the property to cool off in during the summer. You might even be lucky enough to glimpse our local herd of elk that calls our small valley home, along with an assortment of other critters as well. FYI: There is a dog that lives on the property. While the sites are situated quite far from the house, he may visit. He is not dangerous and is very friendly. He loves people and other dogs. His name is Cooper.

Creekside
It was fun until the drama
2nd visit. Beautiful property. Booked the creekside again since we had such a great time last year. Large site, private, clean and peaceful. As soon as we arrived we headed for the creek. Slightly disappointed because the trail to the creek was blocked by stinging nettle. Decided to wait until the next day to try again. After forging our way through, we found that Mother Nature dropped a big tree, blocking access to one of the best swimming holes and a major reason we love this spot. Not to be deterred, we climbed over the tree to enjoy the icy water. I say we, but really my Lab did the swimming and I only stuck my feet in for 3 seconds before they were numb. Only bummer was that the resident dog was loose and escorted our truck out of the driveway as we left for a day trip. I worried he might be hit. Our Lab tried to tell him it was a bad idea. Later that afternoon, we discovered our dogs did not appreciate the resident dog stopping by camp while we were out. He left his calling card in the driveway. To all of our surprise, he invited himself to dinner, but our crew were not feeling charitable. I think they chased him to the next county. He was in no real danger from our senior Chi, lazy Pug or overly-friendly Lab but it was disruptive, annoying and frustrating. I apologize to the other campers for disturbing their peace. We left early because we felt terrible for the chaos. I was in shock that my dogs would bolt like that, even though they came right back. Relaxation over.

Camp in a Secluded Valley
Secluded camping
Beautiful little location very secluded and they provided lots of wood for camp fires. We really enjoyed that. The bathroom was also kept very clean and I had no complaints. The only thing I will say is I really hope the camp host can maybe try and control their dog better because it jumped on my car and scratched it badly on the driver side door, not once but three different times. I had to slow down multiple times because the dog will run up to your car and jump up. So I really hope the host can get a better handle on their dog. Other than that we had a great time.

Camp in a Secluded Valley
So good I don't want to tell anyone
What a beautiful piece of land! Very rural and quiet—we were so pleased to find the land lush and green even at the end of a hot summer. This spot (End of the Valley) is mostly shaded throughout the day with a healthy blast of sunshine midday. Private little trail to a small creek loaded with crawdads and young fish. Glorious old trees in every direction and yes, a top-notch composting toilet nearby. We never encountered other campers, we felt very isolated and it was just perfect in every way.
