Nice spot, eat next door
Nice little spot that met our needs for the night, and the restaurant next door is the best! The camp sites aren’t the most private, and there is a bright light that stays on all night, but there’s a port-a-potty and a spigot for water as well as a fire ring and a picnic table. Spot #1 is the best because it’s farthest from the road and also next to a lovely creek.

Location, location location
This site is very convenient to the Nisqually entrance at Mt. Rainier. That and the porta potty makes it worth the $35 a night. If I were to stay again, I would want to stay at camp site #1 for a little more privacy. Portable potty was very clean but awkward on a slope to get in and out. When I arrived there were large, heavy tree branches in my assigned fire pit and I wasn't able to use it. The only other thing I would do differently is check the hours for the Wild Berry restraunt. I didn't get to eat there this trip.

Close to National Park Entrance!
The campsite was very close to the Mount Rainier National Park entrance, which made it very convenient for us to get up early and explore the park. The campsite itself (spot #1) was tucked away from the road enough to provide some privacy from passerbys. However, the campground in general was very close to the roadway leading into the National Park, so expect traffic and traffic-related noise in the morning and through the day. At night, you can easily see stars above you while you enjoy a fire and eat at the picnic tables! The port-a-potty was clean and had ample toilet paper. The restaurant next door has firewood for sale for $5/bunch. They also had great food, and I recommend stopping in during your stay at the campground. Overall, it fit our needs and allowed us a close, convenient base camp to explore the National Park! We would stay here again!
