The property is a flat beachfront with 200ft Columbia river frontage located on Puget Island in Cathlamet, Washington with panoramic views.  Campers can enjoy private access to beach and privacy during their stay. The island was named for Peter Puget, a lieutenant in the Vancouver Expedition of exploration, which first mapped the island in 1792. Puget Island's Robert W. Little Preserve is home to a population of endangered Columbian white-tailed deer. You can walk the beach, kayak the Columbia River, or ride bikes on miles of flat Puget Island roads. There's also hiking, swimming in the Columbia on our beach, fishing, wild life viewing that entails many bird species (hawks, eagles, white tail deer). Long Beach on the Pacific ocean is 1 hour away. During your stay, you'll even see ships cruise by very closely.  The property has easily accessible no matter the size of your RV and there's plenty of room to park multiple vehicles. RC ISLAND
Camping at RC Island was super interesting! This is part of WA State that I don’t know too much about but loved watching the Columbia shipping channel and learning more about the Cathlamet area and Puget Island. The area is beautiful- we spent lots of time walking the beach and country roads around the camp site. Lovely weekend- thank you Randy!

Good place to stay… the weather was pretty awful but we made it all work. Site was clean with a really nice toilet! Randy was friendly and helpful.

Lovely spot on the Columbia. Beautiful beach and really lovely spot. Randy met us when we got there and after that we had the place to ourselves. Super windy there so being outside was a bit frigid, but that’s just Mother Nature! We look forward to visiting again!!!

A Wonderful View
Our stay at RC Island was outstanding. The site was spacious and allowed us the opportunity to park our trailer in a way so that we could take advantage of our biggest window to enjoy the view. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We were able put our kayak in basically right at the site and we could take day trips to Astoria and Gnat Creek.
