Our farm is located in the center of the Yakima Valley in Southeastern Washington State. The Valley is known as the fruit bowl of the nation. The site is located on a farm that has been in production on the Roza slope 4 miles north of Sunnyside since 1945. Surrounded by fields of peppermint, Concord grapes, and a variety of crops within walking distance it is a fertile paradise. The Yakima Valley has thousands of acres of wine grapes, hops, apples, cherries, pears, peaches, and vegetables. Wineries are located up and down the Valley and people drive 100s of miles to do wine tours. Several microbreweries are also accessible and within 50 miles to the west you’ll be in premier hiking in the Cascade Mountains.Site is located just east of Scoon Rd 4 miles north of Sunnyside. Campers can park an RV or camp within a secure area with a fence on the west north and east. There is a farm Rd you can walk for a half mile from the site. The site is fairly flat and bicycling can be an activity to consider on nearby county roads or a bike path is located 5 miles south. If you have a mountain bike you could also ride the farm road. Local attractions include wineries in every town. Prosser 15 miles Southeast has probably 20 or more wineries to visit. Guests can access maps of wineries include the worlds premiere vinticultural area in Red Mountain in Benton City. Sunnyside has 2 breweries Varietal and Snipes Mountain Brewery.

Ricks Exercise Farm
We stayed 4 nights and it was a great stay. We have a 36 ft 5th wheel and it fit very nicely and was fairly easy to get in position. There was plenty of room next to it for the truck to park unhooked and there was extra parking for a couple other vehicles for our visitors. We will absolutely be back. The water had slightly off taste to it. It was safe to drink but You might want to bring your own drinking water if you're picky.

Peaceful and private
We will definitely be back! This was a great place to spend a long quiet weekend. It has beautiful views of the surrounding grape, corn, and peppermint fields. It was very private with just a couple houses within view but out of earshot. The site is very well maintained. The grass was wonderful for the kids and dogs to play and lay around on. There are some nice trees that provide great shade. The fence between the camping area and the road kept the kids and dogs safe. Things to note: - The hook-ups are on the wrong side so bring long enough hook-ups. - The fire pit is just outside the camping/grass area so you have to haul chairs back and forth. It worked well enough for us in this spot to have an evening fire for S'mores but it's something to note if you are relying on it to cook.

Peaceful place
Our stay at Rick’s was AMAZING!!! We absolutely loved the place. It was calming to be in the midst of beautifully maintained farm fields. It was near a road, but there were very few vehicle that travelled the road. Very quiet night. Rick was a wonderful host. Greeted with a brief history of the area and farm. Our first experience with Hipcamp, and a wonderful one. We will definitely stay at Rick’s again.

Ricks Exercise Farm
Nicest hipcamp site I’ve ever been to. 👍 30A and 50A electrical, pressure-regulated fresh water, and tidy black water hook up available. Remember to pull in forward in order to have the utilities on the correct side of the trailer.

Ricks Exercise Farm
2nd stay @ Rick’s exercise farm and like the first, didn’t disappoint. Great jump-off spot for wine tasting weekend, centrally located to take advantage of so many vineyards. Super clean and quiet, with stunning views.
