Roots Rise Family Farm
Great stay at Roots Farm
We had such a great stay at Roots Farm. It was an impromptu trip and we were able to book just a few days in advance. The detailed communication we received prior to our arrival gave us an idea of what to expect and was helpful. We arrived early enough to claim a great spot in the lower pine grove - the site we saw with a picnic table. Our daughter was so excited to see a parade of wild turkeys and absolutely loved the little zip line. The portable toilet was well-maintained and the rustic shower was a nice way to end a hot day. With a little sprucing up the communal area could be even more enjoyable, and the swings could use leveling, but it was still a nice place to enjoy the view and play fetch with Huckleberry while the kiddo played. There were few other campers and it was very quiet throughout our visit. Overall a relaxing time and a great base camp for exploring the areas hikes, wineries, and beaches. This was our first time using HipCamp and we can’t wait to come back!

Roots Rise Family Farm
We had a nice time at Roots Rise. We found a great spot on the hill tucked in the trees. Very peaceful. Would return.

Roots Rise Family Farm
A quirky, quaint property that was easy to find. We were greeted by the dogs who periodically came by to say hi and brought their ball. Didn’t really interact with the host except that I messaged asking if they might have some fire wood… a few minutes later a couple cute young boys showed up pulling their radio flyer loaded with wood.
We stayed in the pines down below, great spot and easy to get to in our class C van.

Great spot. Great views. Quiet night as I was the only camper! Open sky if you have a Starlink. Shady spots down below.

Lovely family site 🩷
We loved our time and really enjoyed all the parts of this site! Our kids loved the kids area and we even got in a game of cornhole. There were lots of animals to enjoy and room to roam and play.
There was some road activity next to us, so it didn’t feel remote/quiet, but it didn’t bother us. Do keep in mind the rooster and turkeys will let you know it’s morning around 4am ;)

A nice enough spot, if there were about half as many site offered. When they say get there early if you want a flat/nice spot, they mean it. We got there at check- in on the day of our reservation and the only spots available were wide out in the open, without flat spots for tents. Others who pulled in later, up until 9:30pm had even fewer options. There was also often a wait for the one portapotty.
The farm critters were delightful, polite, and chill. We couldn’t hear the rooster noise much over the neighbor’s dog who was barking from approximately 2-5am… sound from other sites carried fairly loudly as well.
The view was fantastic, folks friendly, and we loved the sunshine we got! The kids really enjoyed the play structures, hammocks, and open space, it was very friendly and inviting. Would consider going back again if I knew there would only be 3-4 other groups there.
