Nichelle is a very nice host. Her and her son are super helpful and friendly. They let us set our tent on the sandy spot to be more comfortable. Deception pass is absolutely incredible and you might spot some orcas if you're lucky!

The best views and location!
We just completed a wonderful stay at Nichelle's campsite. The views are spectacular. She is on a journey to create an amazing location for Hipcampers. The location is close to lots of hiking, Anacortes and Deception Pass. So much to do around the area or just relax at the site. She is one of the most gracious and caring hosts we have ever experienced. She really cares about your experience at her Hipcamp. Know that you will probably not have cell service at the gate so make sure to contact her 15 to 20 min ahead of your arrival so she can meet you at the gate and show you to your site. She is very quick to respond to your questions and such a genuinely kind host. Enjoy your stay!

Beautiful views and beautiful trees
Outstanding view down the Rosario Strait coastline! Host was attentive and accommodating. My favorite are the madrona trees, some big and many little ones thriving here. It took me a couple tries and removing some weight from my camper trailer to get up the gravel driveway to the upper sites, but it was worth it! 4WD would help to get up there with a trailer.

We had a great time on the middle level of Nichelle's land. This spot was perfect for campers looking for the sweet spot of privacy and distance from the main road. Nichelle really goes out of her way to make the trip special! The land is 0.5 miles from Rosario Beach which is so special. If looking for a totally private camping experience, this probably isn't it as there are other campers on the land typically.

Nichelle was an excellent host! She truly went above and beyond. There was an issue with an aggressive dog, and I was incredibly impressed at how she both handled it and how fast she was there. I do agree with some of the reviews saying the sites are under developed. Our fire pit was on a slope with minimal clearing around it, so at night it was hard to move around comfortably. Views were gorgeous and Rosario beach is just across the street and very fun. I do wish there had been better instructions on how to use the bathroom (a tent with a bucket system) as there was confusion surrounding it. Overall had an excellent time and would come back!

Host is very friendly and outgoing, was very welcoming and attentive! However, the site is very “rustic” aka not developed yet. For $65 a night, I would have expected basic campsites prepared at least. The space was overgrown, my husband had to shovel dirt to have a flat surface to pitch our tent on (and only worked because we had a small tent). We were able to make the most of memorial weekend and enjoy the closeness to parks and lakes, and enjoyed our stay, but want to be transparent about the condition of the overall property. Overall beautiful property but mixed feelings to recommend.
