The property we named GAEA (the old Greek spelling of Mother Earth) was first seen in a vision. Historically, Deep Creek Canyon was a winter encampment for the Spokane Indians, whose ancestral lands surround us. We feel the healing spirit of the land, in partnership and stewardship. We gather community for Solstice & Equinox celebrations, bringing people together to honor the changing seasons. Our original house was one of the first in the canyon, in the early 1940's. There’s a map that leads you to hidden features, like the gypsy fortune-telling tea house, a fairy mound at the base of a huge fir tree, a yoga platform, and a Buddha bench for contemplating or conversation.

Amazing Stay!!
Jane's land was a great stay! We stayed at tent site #1 and it was shady, private and perfectly peaceful. The property is beautiful and magical and felt very safe. The facilities were clean and very well maintained. Jane thought of all the details including hammocks for each site. We will definitely be staying again. The trails were fun to explore . We saw deer and turkeys and the songs birds were out! Be sure to check out the tea room and the fairy garden. We highly recommend!

Serene getaway experience
Our brief stay at this charming campsite left us enchanted. From the warm welcome by the host to the lovely tent platform provided, every detail was thoughtful. The peaceful serenade of birds in the morning and the sweet forest scent added to the magic. Plus, while there’s no cell phone service onsite, it’s just a 5-minute drive down the road. Highly recommended for a serene getaway!
