When Earl and Laurine Ingebright found an ad in a local paper for sixty acres near Arlington, in 1958, they knew it would be a place for family fun, relaxation, and their own private forest. What they could not have anticipated was the sheer diversity of projects, parties, and fun that the family would pursue on the property over the coming generations. From forest stewardship and timber harvesting, to campsites and trail construction, to rock concerts and wine making. While they have since passed, these founders began something truly amazing; A tree farm that showcases the successful accomplishment of almost every objective a forest landowner could have. Timber production, wildlife, aesthetics, recreation, and forest resiliency. Valhalla embodies all these things with so little conflict as to look effortless.

Huckleberry Hill Shelter Camp
Perfect getaway for the weekend!! The camp was large and clean. I set up my tent on the flat area near the camp fire and then was able to hang my hammock near the shaded area in the trees. My dogs and I loved walking up the hill toward the A-frame and around the property. The directions Dave sent ahead of time were very clear and helpful to get through the 2 gates. The outhouse was very close by and clean. The fresh water at the camp site was helpful for providing the dogs with lots of clean water. It was the perfect secluded space to hang out for two days enjoy the sunshine, fresh air, and breeze. Having the ability to have the dogs off leash the entire time was amazing! It made the entire trip for us. They loved being able to run around the large private space. It was my first time camping alone and I felt completely secure and safe. I will definitely come back again in the future!!

Site 2 Walk-In
Beautiful campsite by a creek <3
This is an absolutely beautiful camp site!!! There’s a cute babbling creek you cross over that leads to an enclosed area surrounded by so many beautiful trees, making you feel secluded yet close enough to granite if you forgot something like we did :) the outhouse is very clean and nicer than most campsites you’ll stay at. Plus the wooden canopy and fire pit are well built and aesthetically pleasing! Dave is a great host who supplies plenty of information, maps of the area, and easy to reach if you need him. We definitely plan on coming again :)

Site 2 Walk-In
Gorgeous, peaceful sites
This land is so beautiful! Each site is lovely in its own way and secluded. I’ve come here twice and loved it both times. It’s wonderful to explore the property.

Huckleberry Hill Shelter Camp
Beautiful large private Camp!
What a beautiful private serene location! :) We’ve been to many Hipcamps and this was definitely one of our favorites! The camp was large and secluded with a lovely view. We were so glad the sun came out so we could see it in its full brilliance! We loved exploring several walking the road & paths around the property and meeting the kind owner and his sweet dog who played with ours a bit! A few trails were a bit “wild”/overgrown, but understandable as this is such a large property! We appreciated the privacy and how this property is secured with two entry gates so we felt safe & relaxed the whole time as well. There was a nice shelter and picnic table as well although we didn’t use it with our pop up trailer and our own amenities. As we walked the property we checked out the other large walk in camp site. It was great too and had a nice shelter, table & fire pit as well…Only comparison of note was that its outhouse was quite a bit newer, nicer and fresher! It actually smelled good with the nice wood haha! This is a great place and property to visit with easy access, location and well marked road and camp locations. Thank you!

Rustic Cabin and Tent Site
The cabin is simple but comfortable. The land is beautiful and we loved relaxing in the evenings hearing the stream running by the cabin.

Nice secluded area, great to not be right next to other campers, which our dogs really enjoyed as well.
