Near Mount Rainier National Park
Within a 60-minute drive from the Carbon River Entrance Station.
We are fortunate to have a beautiful piece of property. Nestled in a little valley surrounded by the Foothills of the Cascade mountain range. Our property is surrounded by the old White River tree farm. Our nearest neighbor is a glider air port, home of the Puget Sound soaring association. Enjoy watching the gliders ride the rising thermals and all of the wildlife that exists from the frogs and owls at night to deer eating from our apple trees and sing song birds throughout the day. Please note: The gravel driveway is long and almost 1 mi. Please keep your speed below 5 MPH and give the right away to vehicles coming up the driveway or if they have a trailer. Giving the vehicles with the trailer the higher priority as they may not be able to back off the road. If you exceed the speed limit on the driveway You will be asked to leave without refund. When camping here your just far enough away from everything to give you the illusion of going much deeper into the woods without actually being too far away. Only 15 minutes away from Enumclaw, King county fairgrounds and 20 min from the White River amphitheater. Alternative transportation: Through a different app, I provide a 12 passenger van to transport you to the local events. Cellular data: due to our location it can be quite difficult to get reception on your cell phones. Please try to make all the arrangements on the app's before arriving or make plans to leave and update your reservations. Unfortunately, the infrastructure in the area will not provide the capability of allowing us to offer Wi-Fi at this time. Campfires: Typically, we will provide firewood in exchange for an honest review of our campsites. However, burn bans will be strictly enforced during fire season, We cannot permit fires due to local laws and the risk of the White River tree farm burning and quite possibly cutting all of us off from a safe route out of harm's way. Propane camp stoves may be allowed for cooking. You can't wait to meet you and share the experience of the place we call home! This campsite is intended to be a low budget outdoor venue allowing for family gatherings and small events. Sorry no pop-up "Raves" https://www.wildhareretreat.com/ Is private and surrounded by the white river tree farm and with Mount Enumclaw center stage, for your prime view. This camp site is located 30ft from the tree line and the rolling hills combined with the fruit trees, provides privacy from the main residence. The campsite is big, roughly 70 by 80 ft, giving the ability to host a good size group (60 people). Then spills over the rolling hill to the pond. (Sorry, no swimming) A Picnic bench, wood fire pit with log benches makes up the campsite. Otherwise the campsite is mostly flat with maintained grass. the White River amphitheater, the city of Enumclaw, flaming geyser State Park and King county fairgrounds are all within 20 minutes. Notes and disclaimers: There is a 5 mph speed limit on the almost mile long driveway. When encountering other people on the driveway if they have a (trailer) they have the right away automatically. Otherwise the right away should go to the vehicles coming up the hill. Please note: 4X4, four-wheel drive vehicles or dual sport motorcycles only are allowed to make the trip across the grass. Otherwise you may park just off the gravel road and Walk. I do not have a way to pull you off the wet grass if you get stuck. Wood fire is subjected to county fire restrictions. <<<[No pets at this time]>>> There is wildlife here and I cannot be held responsible for your pets safety! Also we do not allow hunting on the property. If you choose to hunt, hike, or just explorer the surrounding forest off the private property, you are required to visit the Hancock national resource group web site for a White River non-motorized pass. Note: We do not have a trail or road despite what Google may say and what Google maps shows to access to the White River, Hancock tree farm. They need to update their Maps. Please read and follow all Hipcamp rules. Thank you for reading.

Big sky indeed!
Tent · Group trip
Wayne greeted us when we arrived and showed us to the spot. Big sky indeed. No light pollution, just trees and the stars. We celebrated my birthday and viewed the meteor shower from Wayne’s land. Such a gift to share the sky with him and his family. I would recommend this Hipcamp 100%. Oh and the bathroom was super clean.

Not crowded with a bunch of campers. It was only us. There was one other site near us but it was empty. They allowed us to smoke 💨 the reefer. It was a nice night!! Definitely awesome camping vibes. Woke up and walked the trail near the campsite. Picked some berries. Friendly hosts!! Loved them:)
