8 acres of beautiful forested land with a small creek running nearby the campsite. WALKING distance to New River Gorge National Park! Approx 5min walk across edmond-lansing rd to short creek/head house trail. Hiking to views of the gorge, down to the river and plenty of climbing. Endless wall is 2 min drive down the road, some of the best hiking and climbing in the gorge! Beauty Mountain overlook is 1.5 miles away. Campsite is off of a private neighborhood road. GPS will NOT take you to our place. It will send you to the neighbors, so please follow written directions from host. We don’t want to burden our neighbors. Thank you! There is a small fire ring, bring dry wood and make sure to put your fire completely out anytime you wont be attending it, this is the woods. ALL are welcome. This space is a safe place, and prejudice or hate will not be tolerated. Thank you for treating others with respect and kindness.Park your van or small rv on the shaded gravel pad or pitch your tent a short walk into the trees for a bit more seclusion. Enjoy a small creek and fire pit most of the year. The outhouse is less than a hundred paces up a forest path for your convenience. Our camper is on the other side of the land, out of sight from your camping.

Creekside Camp
This was a perfect base camp for exploring all this area has to offer! There’s even a hike within walking distance. You will be close to a private road and there’s a house nearby so if you want that true wilderness feel, you might want to try somewhere else. It was quiet and cozy in our 3 person tent. There was lots of firewood and other great amenities. Hosts were very respectful of privacy; you’ll have the place to yourself. Before staying here we tried Stone Cliff campground at the national park and this was FAR superior.

Creekside Camp
The location is very private and I love the woods. I was a little concerned that the neighbors did not know what I was doing there. The gravel in the driveway is extremely hard to walk on. Anyone with walking issues it will not work. The hostess was very accessible.

Creekside Camp
Peaceful!
We loved it! It was very peaceful and fairly secluded. There was a great place for us to cook our dinner and Lu was kind enough to leave bundles of firewood for us to make a fire! We were surprised by how nice the outhouse was and Lu provided great instructions on how to navigate everything around the campsite. Would definitely come stay again!

Wonderful Campsite Near Natl Park
We loved this hipcamp! The location was great— very close to major hikes and the bridge. Was very quiet outside of a few cars passing every few hours. The bathroom was great & clean. We loved the tent spot on the other side of the creek— and the white noise from the creek was so relaxing! Just note— the tent spot & bathroom are to the left of the campsite. We started looking for them off the trail behind the spot. We also loved the string lights! Would come again!!

Creekside Perfection
I had a fantastic stay at Lu’s creekside property during my road trip. The location was perfect, offering a serene and picturesque setting right by the creek. It was incredibly convenient, situated close to the New River Gorge, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The campsite was well-maintained and provided all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Lu was a gracious host, ensuring everything was in order and providing helpful local tips. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and convenient camping experience near the New River Gorge.
