Located just 20 minutes from Madison, the property is at the dead end of a long lane and home to a pottery shop that has been in business for 35 years. The cabin is surrounded by farm fields and woodland were you will experience solitude and privacy yet have easy access to our local community that hosts shops and restaurants. The property is also adjacent to The Dane County Camrock Park system known for premier mountain biking as well as walking paths.The cabin was once used by my apprentices over the years but is now a guest house that I'm offering on Hipcamp. Located on the back end of my property, you find a it to be peaceful and quiet with plenty of wildlife to keep you company. Theres a wonderful spring fed lake a mile away as well as a county park a half mile away.

Great cabin

I loved the glamping experience with Mark. it was quiet and relaxing with some modern amenities like a smart tv. He gave us plenty of privacy and was responsive when messaging with him. Great quiet place just 30 minutes from Madison. I will be booking with Mark again.

Quiet country cabin with privacy. Water is potable and composting toilet was no problem! I loved that it was pet friendly. Campfire also available and wood burner or a/c. Thanks Mark!

Tranquil indeed!!!

We had a lovely time, met some friends (kitties and coi fish) and Mark was a lovely host. Showed us around the pottery kiln/shop, which was super impressive. The bed/pillows were comfy, we had no issues what so ever. Will definitely come back!

The Apprentice Cabin was a perfect getaway from the city. My boyfriend and I stayed for one night with our dog and the cabin was in a cute location right next to a trail and small town with shops and restaurants. Mark greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour of his pottery workshop and kiln! The cabin was cozy and the bed was comfortable.
