Welcome to Winter Willow Barn & Breakfast! Nestled in the heart of our family hobby farm, Winter Willow offers a cozy retreat with an optional home cooked breakfast. Wake to farm-fresh eggs, local breads, homemade jam and hot herbal tea. The property features wooded walking trails, swings, and a secluded fire pit for your enjoyment. Enjoy your stay in our private and spacious (30X40) two-level historic barn and loft. Accessible by a modern staircase, your loft retreat features a queen bed with premium bedding, a trundle with two twin beds, inviting sofa, a pellet stove and cozy blankets, recycled floors, an antique wash stand and basin complete with soap, refrigerator, coffee corner with coffee maker (filters) and coffees/teas, and a children's corner featuring books and toys. Full electric as well. Downstairs (not heated) features a small kitchen area with sink and propane stove/griddle and a bathroom area with a portable/flushing toilet. Plates, bowls and cutlery are provided along with cooking utensils and a handful of pots, pans, and bowls. Salt, sugar, and olive oil also provided. We provide filtered water and cream in the refrigerator upon your arrival, and for families with young children we have a gate to block the staircase and outlet caps for added security. Twelve chickens are a part of our family, and you are welcome to feed the chickens clover or fresh flowers, and help us plant flowers or pick apples depending on the season! We also have two farm dogs and two farm cats who might want to say hello.Spacious and lofted barn retreat with temperature controlled pellet stove in the loft for chilly nights or cozy days to just “be.” Described as "magical" by guests. (Note for winter adventurers: Lower level is not heated.) Farm-to-loft breakfast from our chickens and kitchen to you available. Be pampered! Enjoy roaming turkeys and wildlife, early winter snow, our spring bloom, warm summer nights, or crisp fall days by the fire pit. Visit our tulip and daffodil cutting fields in the spring, and create your own bouquets. :-) Close to city but tucked in the country. Abundance of ATV routes and hiking trails nearby, and walking trails through our woods and serene swings for you with views far and wide. Wineries too. Glamping at its finest. One queen bed and a trundle bed featuring two twin beds, complete with cozy bedding. Games for adults and children alike. Couch for relaxing with a book, or cuddling by the fire. Campfires allowed

Firewood provided, firepit. Private fire pit with Adirondack seating for two. We allow fires so long as there is no ban in place. Must be doused with water before going to sleep. And, we have firewood and are happy to provide you with one small bundle for free. Lighter available as well.

Toilet available

Portable toilet. Enclosed bathroom area, with lighting, in lower level of barn, with a flush Coleman portable toilet and toilet paper, amenities.

Pets allowed

On leash. We have two dogs so just want to be sure all get along prior to your dog coming off leash.

Potable water available

Tap, hose, bottled water or jugs. We provide filtered water in the loft refrigerator for drinking / coffee. The sink in lower level offers tap water for cooking and other use.

Cooking equipment present

Private, oven, stovetop or hot plate, fridge, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. Kitchen features basic utensils and a handful of pans/pots for cooking along with salt/pepper and cooking oil. Upstairs loft features drip coffee maker with paper filters, ground coffee, fresh half & half and fresh filtered water placed in refrigerator up your arrival. Handsoaps and dish soap also provided, as well as hand sanitizer and insect repellant candles/oils.

Let us pamper you! Enjoy a freshly-cooked egg breakfast straight from our chickens and our kitchen to you. Eggs of the day served with a basket of warm bread, homemade jam, and mint tea from our herb garden. Delivered from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, to the lower level of your barn loft. You tell us when you'd like your meal served :-).

Quiet and beautiful!

With pets

Kim and David's lofted barn was the perfect winter hideaway. They put so much effort into their property and the barn, and it shows--the loft is incredibly comfortable, even at freezing temps. We stayed five nights, and got to see some fantastic winter mists, beautiful sunsets, and STARS. So many stars! Kim makes a phenomenal breakfast, so do yourself a favor and take advantage of that during your stay. The amenities are great--camp stove, sink, and camp toilet located on the lower floor of the barn. Eau Claire is a short drive away, with tons of beautiful trails and walking paths. Thanks again Kim, David, Izzy and Lula! We loved staying with you!

We loved staying at Kim’s renovated barn! The space was comfortable, cute, and peaceful. The views of surrounding farm fields and forests were breathtaking, especially with the fall colors. Kim was a gracious host who took time to show us around, and made a very delicious breakfast. We definitely plan to return. I’d highly recommend!

With kids

The kids and I had a lovely time here. Kim and her family were very hospitable. We loved playing with their pets, walking around the property, playing games in the loft, enjoying s'more's at the private bonfire pit and enjoying a farm fresh breakfast outside in the morning sun. The barn loft was very cozy and relaxing. We highly recommend.

Amazing, Romantic Gem!

Highly recommend! This was the best set up, super romantic, warm and cozy. The bed was like sleeping on a cloudy. Total peace and quiet, nice spot to sit out under the stars. They truly have thought of everything down to every little detail. Great cooking spot with a sink. Super clean bathroom area. Breakfast was great too. Great thought and care was put into everything. ♥️ Would DEFINITELY recommend you check this place out!!!!
