Our beautiful property has been farmed by our family for many years. We have enjoyed preserving the woods with our mountain biking trails turned snow shoe trails in the winter. The woods are full of golden maple trees which is where we got the name for our personal campground. Come visit to see for yourself! Learn more about En Gedi, your tent site: You'll be staying in a private safari tent overlooking a 100 year old maple tree above a secluded hollow in our woods. With access to over 2 miles of marked out mountain bike trails and hiking trails here on the property. Outhouse, picnic table, fire pit with 4 chairs and 4 cots are provided (2 extra large, 2 large), sheets are provided for the 2 extra large cots. Drinking water is provided (2 gallon jug). Firewood is available for purchase at the campsite ($5/ten pieces of wood). You can also use whatever has fallen in the woods. Located at the end of a well worn field road access you'll need to hike in if you have a low clearance vehicle. Its about .25 mile long hike with a 100' ascent. Access in 4x4 can be limited in wet and muddy weather. We also have access to a class A trout stream about 1 mile away to enjoy swimming, fishing and lounging. We are a short 10 minute drive to many great local activities like Whitetail mountain bike trail in River Falls or Kinnickinnick river kayaking. Fantastic local Forestville Winery is less then 2 miles away with great wine and food options. Add on an experience to your stay like mountain bike classes or feeding our baby cows! Definitely coming back!
This place is so lovely! It's just as beautiful as the photos. It's very private. This is what you camping to be, you're off on your little piece of land just relaxing in nature. Really a little slice of heaven. I will for SURE be back!!

This is our 2nd time at Golden Maple and we love it! Perfect for our family of 4 and dog. Gorgeous property less than an hour from the Twin Cities. Clean. Comfortable cots. The mountain bike trails were great for walks, the trees were showing off their golden glow. Perfection!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The site was private and well-equipped, Jonathan was very helpful, and the bike trails were a hoot! Looking forward to another stay next year :)

Beautiful wooded property & set up. The cots weren’t the most comfortable for sleeping but the greetings from the sweet cows made up for it!!

Beautiful campsite, the hosts were very accommodating and had everything you needed, table, chairs, water, outhouse which was extremely clean, lanterns which has usb connect, fire starter, grill grate, wood and an axe. Just bring yourself and food and you’re all set. It was a bit cold overnight so we opted to purchase the heater/propane mainly for our pups, lasted about 5 hours on high. We have a Jeep and did well up the rocky incline to the site. Smaller vehicles may not to as well. So fun!

Very cute private location. The road was visible but not a problem at all, very few vehicles went by. The tent was spacious, clean, and bug free - a relief from the few mosquitos outside. The bike trails were fun and well maintained for it being a private trail, a few ruts from critters, but our one wheels made it through most of the trail - minus the more difficult built obstacles that would be great on a bike. Hosts were friendly, courteous, and provided drinking water. The outhouse was very well kept. We had a nice relaxing weekend, and Jonathan was kind enough to accept our booking a few hours before check-in and got everything ready for us.
