One of my favorites!
Awesome site! I'll be a repeat camper here. Things to note: -take advantage of Cal's gator rides if possible for gear. It's inexpensive and then you get to meet Cal! -mosquitoes were bad when we went (9/14/24), plan appropriately -skinny wheeled wagons will not fair well. Half of the walk is through sand. -Cal supplied wood at a GREAT price! It was good wood too, but I'd maybe bring something extra dry to get it going and get some heat into the fire before trying to use it, or bring a ton of lighter fluid. It wasn't wet, but it took some time fumbling around before we got the stuff lit. Overall, this site is on my Mount Rushmore of Hipcamps in Minnesota/Wisconsin area.

Paradise and a canoe 🛶
If you are looking for a “just a touch off the grid”, rustic river adventure, this is the perfect place. Serene landscapes, huge beach and tons of privacy. Loved getting under the stars and relaxing with my fiancé. Highly recommend planning for your own shade and some sandy reality. A tatami Matt would be wise in your tent 😉 Incredibly friendly and helpful and 1,000% suggest asking for the ATV camping gear support delivery.

BEAUTIFUL, LAID BACK, BEACHY!
•Clean campground with good amenities •BEAUTIFUL SAND BEACH (no painful rocks to walk on! Be mindful of river’s pace! •Very pretty path/walk to beach just wear a good layer of bug spray and you’ll be fine! •Soothing nightly nature sounds. •Cal the host is very friendly and accommodating- will get you what you need basically whenever if he can. •Good price. •Clean and refreshing outdoor shower area. Totally worth checking out!!!! •Gas station 4 minutes away (BP with some basic groceries) All in all a great place to camp and enjoy nature with adults only with a laid back and friendly host! Star gazing is wonderful on clear nights as well! 10/10! I’ve been there twice. Camp sites near the house are closer together with less privacy but sites near the beach are way farther apart. Just fyi! Thanks Cal!

The rustic sites were incredible on the river. The night skies were dense with stars. The trek to/from parking lot is doable but bring bug spray.
