Ever want to leave your job and unite with nature? Me too, after 10-plus years of tax preparation, I found myself with a desire to farm and to become closer to the food we take for granted. This farm is unique in that it was cleared and stripped of its topsoil and its fill was sold off to the state. What was left behind was a pond and some poor farmland. I purchased this less desirable property inexpensively and have been working tirelessly to regenerate the property to a farm that mimics nature and our natural ecosystem. I have planted over 1000 trees and perennial shrubs to move this property into an oak savannah-like natural farming system. In 2015 I purchased this property without any farming experience and have begun to transform this property into a beautiful destination. We look forward to seeing you and welcoming you into our ecosystem. We welcome you to stay and enjoy our farm and recreational area! This is an active farm as we raise cows, pigs, chickens, turkey, and ducks. We graze our animals around the farm throughout the seasons. Depending on when you stay you may see a variety of farm life in different stages. Book your stay in April or May and you are bound to see baby chicks and pigs! We offer a camping space beside our three-and-a-half-acre pond that is equipped with a tiny house with electricity, an outside grill, picnic bench, fire barrel, and an electric heater for cold nights. The tiny house can comfortably sleep 2 adults as it is furnished with a twin-size bunk bed (sheets provided). There is enough floor space for a twin size blowup mattress to fit in addition but it would be tight. If you plan on bringing more than three adult guests, we recommend bringing a tent or small trailer/pop-up camper to help accommodate your trip. While you're here take a canoe out or fish from the dock, visit the diverse farm animals, and enjoy nature on a small family farm. And don’t forget to stop by our onsite farm store and purchase some food for the grill. We look forward to seeing you on The G Farm!
Sincerely, Farmer Justin and Kim
