Tent Site #1
Zero frills but solid spot
This is for tent campers only. I am a solo woman traveler. Stayed one night. This looks like it is a developing business so this review will most likely be outdated at some point. It was safe and it was inexpensive. You get what you pay for which is no frills. It’s a safe spot to pitch a tent, although I slept on an air mattress in the back of my Subaru so I cannot attest to how a tent would fare. There is an outhouse but bring your own TP. There were lots of empty cardboard centers but no actual TP. The tent site by the outhouse (someone else’s) looked like it was better developed. Mine was below next to some lumber they were using to build something. It had a picnic table, a fire pit, and a bench. However, it was right next to the RVs so it also served as a place where people let their dogs run. The instructions for check in are geared toward the RVs and not for tent people. I had a hard time finding where the host was so I just parked at the newish building near the beginning of the RV sites until a gentleman on an ATV came and spoke to me. He was very nice and answered my questions and led me to my site. I was able to obtain firewood if I desired but I forgot to ask where the shower was that was listed on their site and so I was not able to use it the next morning. If you need to talk to them I recommend CALLING them through the function on Hipcamp. None of the written messages I sent were answered. Overall I would stay here again with the knowledge of the limitations.
