Oak Ridge Farm is located on 80 acres in the Mid-Michigan area, halfway between Midland and Mt. Pleasant. We are in the process of creating a self-sustainable, homestead vegetable and fruit farm. Our property is quiet, and the moon and stars are amazing to see on a clear night. If you're looking for a quiet place to get away from it all, look no further! There is plenty to see and do right around our property. Lots of wildlife including; Sandhill Cranes, deer, turkeys, porcupines, geese, rabbits etc. We have a walking/hiking path that you can explore through our property as well as hundreds of acres of state land right next door! Campsites are situated around our beautiful pond where the sunrises cannot be beat. Kayaks and a row boat are available for our guests to explore the pond. The AuSable State Forest neighbors our property line and can be accessed from multiple different areas right near the property. There are many trails for horseback riding, dirt bikes, ATVs/UTVs, hiking and mountain biking. The Chippewa River is very close and many enjoy kayaking, canoeing or tubing this river. Only 18 mins away is the Pine Haven Recreation Area in Sanford. This park has 12 miles of hiking, cross country skiing and mountain biking trails. Horseback riding trails are also available at this park. Places to see and things to do: - Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, Mt. Pleasant - Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant - Isabella County Farmers Market, Mt. Pleasant - Great Lakes Loons at Dow Diamond, Midland - Dow Gardens, Midland - Whiting Forest (Nation's Longest Canopy Walk), Midland -Midland Area Farmers Market - 1 hour from beautiful Higgins Lake - 45 minutes from Bay City - Sanford Lake restoration estimated late 2024 Midland and Mt. Pleasant are each located about 20-25 mins from our property. Please note that campsites are rustic. Porta-john, hose connect water and shower house are available during seasonal times (May 1 to Oct 1). Campfire rings are located at each campsite and firewood is available to purchase. My family and I live full-time on our property. We have 3 young children and a sweet dog that loves people and other kids. On hot summer days we often join our campers at the pond to cool off! On weekends we love to work in our large garden, take care of our chickens, have a campfire, and play outside. We are so excited to host you this camping season and hope you enjoy your stay at Peaceful Pines on Oakridge Farm! Peaceful Retreat
Joyce’s land was perfect for what I was hoping to be a peaceful retreat. I had site #4, which is the farthest away. The sites are well kept and private, but close enough to feel like you aren’t in the middle of nowhere. There’s a nice picnic table and a fire ring. There’s also a Porto potty and shower available within walking distance and fire bundles available to purchase either there or at checkout of the app and Joyce had it delivered and waiting for me. So worth it. It did rain about half the time, but my tent was somewhat sheltered under the tree coverage, which made sitting back and enjoying the warm weather so nice. There is a nice hiking/biking trail on her property and kayaks or fishing if you wish. Be ready for the sounds of nature, as night time is full of noises. Nature at its best. I will be back for sure!

First timers
Easy to find. Felt private and very pretty. We arrived late and she had our eggs waiting for us in a picnic basket with cooler packs and plenty of firewood. They didn’t visit and we appreciated the privacy. Already planning a trip back. I expected mosquitoes and was surprised that they were not a problem. That’s a win!

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. 🌲🌲🌲
Words can’t express the beauty and peace this place holds. The best escape for your day to day work life. Joyce and the family have built something so special and unique with Oak Ridge Farms. This is our second visit with the location and we honestly don’t have a reason why to look around any further. As you pull in to the drive way you instantly see the body of water(FISH HERE!!!), Clear directions on where your camp site is, and a warm welcome from the owners and family. Within a year of visiting last, they have non-stop coming up with ways to make there land even more special. As they implemented fresh farm eggs (please don’t get me started I’m obsessed with them). The two of us started out camping for a couple nights in our tent on our stomping grounds(campsite spot 4). Even with the rain and thunderstorms, we still enjoyed our beautiful scenery as well as the warm company of Joyce, Mike and the kiddos (the owners). As always, they were both exceptionally kind, communicative and easygoing to quickly and respectfully accommodate to any possible (last minute) necessities. We even upgraded to the camper(camp site 1) for the last night and was amazed of the at home comfort in the middle of the woods. So basically, the second time coming up to Oakridge Farm to camp and who would have thought the second time could be better than the first time (AND THE TRAILS FOR 4 WHEELING IS A DREAM!!)I could write a book about my experience and still wouldn’t be enough. Bless you guys ❣️🌲🌲
