The road to reach this slice of primitive paradise isn’t well-suited for an RV or trailer, making the choice to get back to the basics of camp life an easy one. The sites are lined up along the shores of the lake, and we’re confident that this is one view you won’t get tired of. If you’ve been craving some serenity, what are you waiting for? Come check this place out (just remember to bring water, or a treatment method… there’s no potable water out here).

Come enjoy peace and quiet in the beautiful meadows near our home. We are located on 40 acres that include forested trails, a large pond, two small ponds, a creek, and frequent wildlife as well as spectacular stargazing at night. All sites have a campfire ring and picnic table. We provide a unique eco-camping experience in contrast to the crowded campground/RV park, and we are only 6 miles away from the entrance to Glacier National Park! Please let us know if you have multiple tents or vehicles as some sites may be a better choice for you than others. No hookups are provided – dry camping only. Parking for larger vehicles/trailers is available at sites 1-6 - an open, flat meadow with the pond on the other side of the road. Tents are welcome in all sites; although, we recommend the back meadow sites (7 and up) for more secluded tent campers (especially in July) as it has less traffic and more privacy. Sites 7-20 (the back meadow sites) have parking for vehicles 26' or less in total length. All sites have access to vault toilets, and all sites are back-in sites with partial shade. Because of the proximity to Glacier National Park and the main HWY, traffic noise and train noise can be heard at the campsites. Visitors are ask to keep their speed to a minimum to reduce dust on the dirt on Greens Road. We are just a short bike ride away (two minutes by car) from attractions such as the Whiskey Barn, The Paul Bunyan Bar & grill, Glacier Hi-Line Ropes Course, and the Amazing Fun Center, maze, and mini golf. It is also easy access to the Gateway to Glacier Bike path. E-bike rentals are across the street from us. Closest Gas station is the Cenex in Coram (1.5 mi away). Closest public (free) landfill dump is 2.2 miles toward Columbia Falls at 9626 Us HWY 2 E. Near Paul Bunyan Bar and Grill (which is also a good restaurant near us). Look for the gated entry and small sign marking Flathead Landfill. Closest grocery is in Hungry Horse at Canyon Foods Grocery (3.5 miles away). There is a laundromat next to this grocery store. Closest dump and water fill up for a vehicle with a holding tank is Mikes Conoco at 1645 9th st W in Columbia Falls (8.9 mi away). Closest town with wifi, cafes, restaurants, urgent care and larger grocery stores is Columbia Falls (9 miles away). We sell solar shower bags, sun screen, card games, cream soda, frisbees, bug spray, coffee, firewood, and more at Sam and Molly's mercantile by our house in the middle of our property. Now it is a quiet, secluded, yet convenient recreational spot serving as a home base for visitors to Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, Whitefish Mountain, and other natural wonders in the area. Brad and Sarah Harris, your hosts, frequent the property, as they prepare the land to build custom log cabins for rent. You’re also likely to meet Drake, the beloved camp dog, greeting you when you arrive. Learn more about this land: Camp on this secluded, park-like slice of heaven just 7 miles outside Glacier National Park. This private recreation land is nestled away from the main road, and surrounded by mature trees and peekaboo mountain views. Level, easily-accessible sites are spaced among the aspens and lodgepole pines. It's rare to find a place this secluded so close to the park. The location is perfect as your home base while exploring Glacier National Park and the surrounding area. The 3-acre partially-wooded property is great for relaxing after your day, walking dogs, playing yard games, and enjoying the views. This location was once a large herb farm, so you may discover oregano and other familiar herbs now growing wild throughout the area. Despite being secluded, these campsites are just 11 miles from Columbia Falls, where you can stock up on groceries or check out local restaurants and bars. The property is also nearby Glacier Distilling Company along with zip lines and other family attractions. Sites are level grass pads, with electric hookups (50, 30, and 20 amp) and water. There is no septic service, but there are several nearby public dump stations. There is decent cell signal for most carriers, and wifi in the property. There is a gravel road to the sites from the main road. Please note this property is not suitable for large groups or loud parties; we ask that visitors please respect the neighbors and other guests who come to enjoy the peace and serenity of the Montana wilderness. The Mooseshroom

The Mooseshroom is an awesome camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts available for booking on our property. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings. ***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside considerably at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. Most guests are truly fine with it.

These campsites are located off of the highway between Whitefish and Kalispell. It is a beautiful little ranch with horses, chickens and ducks! The tent sites are close enough to the highway where you can hear some traffic, but it usually quiets down in the evening. We are 5 minutes from Whitefish/Big Mountain, 15 minutes from Glacier National Airport, about 45 to Glacier National Park, and about 30 minutes to Flathead Lake. Plenty of things to see and do nearby!

We do not offer sewer disposal, but you can easily empty your tanks 3.3 miles away at a local Gas station. Our property is a short 6 mile drive to Whitefish and only 4 miles from downtown Columbia Falls. Enjoy a campfire next to your RV in the firepit while you have dinner at the provided picnic table. Both Glacier National Park and Whitefish Mountain resort are only a 30 minute drive away. NO FIREWORKS!

One of the best spots near Glacier if you're looking to lose the crowds. This place has a particularly nice look in early spring, as snow still covers the ground but the greens in the trees start to show. I'm sure I will be returning whenever I'm near Glacier next.

Red Meadow Lake Campground was a pleasant surprise we stumbled upon while exploring some backcountry roads. There are a few sites along the lakeshore and a few further back. We chose a site further back in the trees for privacy. You would think with the lake being somewhat off the grid that you'd have the place to yourself, but we met a few bikers, hunters and fishermen who made their camp there as well. It is a beautiful spot to chill out and could thoroughly be enjoyed with a canoe or raft as the water is crystal clear!
