The  old railway road bed that serviced the Mill Creek Saw Mill runs through the middle of my  property. My log cabin is one of only three high cabins that sit on the back of the Clark Fork River.  Learn more about this land: 5 RV camp spots, either Motorhome or Trailer. Dry camping only for now will be adding electrical in the near future. Water is available via hose. Enjoy the wildlife that frequent the area. Bald Eagles and Osprey reside in the trees on property and can be seen fishing in the waters behind property. River views from property and fishing access down to river via sloped trail.  Public access for fishing and swimming and boat launch are across the river and about a 4 minute drive from camp. 1/2 mile from State cut off Rd. Highway 135 and  Highway 90 in Saint Regis.  Golfing at Trestle Creek Golf Course 500 yards from camp. Bike the Hiawatha trail designed to take you through views of Mt back country from abounded train trails, ride through old trail tunnels and experience Montana’s beauty. Glacier National Park just 2.5 hours from camp. Flathead Lake 1 hour from camp. 4 X 4 trails just 1 minute from camp.

Beautiful evening by the river
Overall, a great experience, and a beautiful evening by the river. Power, water and sewer hookups. There is a busy freight train track across the river. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs.

Great for passing through
The views were amazing! Dan was very responsive when the power went out across western MT, which was beyond anyone's control. We appreciated having A/C up until temperatures cooled at night. However, Dan was less responsive in the morning when we had no water. We eventually received a response that the property is on a private well, which needs power for water, raising concerns about health and safety since we can't know if the well is tested and treated. There was an old sewer hose with tape around it on the ground. The RV hose was stuck onto the sewer opening with a 90-degree connector, so we had to use that hose for our RV. The neighbor at the permanent site next door is nice, but his dog barks a lot, especially if you have a dog. Fortunately, there was no barking at night. We were fine with taking our trash out. After checkout, Dan messaged about a missed doggy poo bag, which can be spotted in the photo we took upon leaving. We apologized. The place is suitable for passing through.

A lot to do
We booked the site for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was ideal for the 2 of us. We spent a day at Quinn’s Hot Springs, drove to Missoula one day, and ate lunch at Butcher’s in Plains, recommend by someone and it was so good! There was plenty to do in the area. This is a very tiny spot, but the view was breathtaking. We have a large rear window so we could see the two rivers perfectly and the sunset was beyond amazing! We live by a train track so that didn’t bother us. The dog adjacent to our spot barked while we were setting up. Was a concern at first. She didn’t bark at night or while the owner was there. We would probably stay again.

Stay away
The place is shabby as is pretty much the immediate neighborhood. There’s a pile of mostly scrap metal on one side of the site and a dog that barks constantly if you are outside when the owner is gone from the permanent unit on the other side. Then when we said we were surprised we had to get rid of our own garbage, the owner said via email if we didn’t like the arrangements we could leave. So the facility and Dan’s hosting skills could stand a serious upgrade. There’s two very nice rv parks in St. Regis so there’s absolutely no reason to stay there.

Wouldn’t go back
The facility is shabby. On one side of the site is a pile of scrap materials. The dog at the permanent site next door barks constantly if you are outside and its owner is gone. And when we expressed surprise there was no place to dump our trash, the owner said via email if we didn’t like we could leave. I recommend campers avoid this place.
