ATFS Certified Tree Farm Est. 2004 Camp with your group at our private Tree Farm / Conservation / Recreation Area. Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Choose one of our three unique sites / outdoor spaces to best fit your camping needs; book the entire property for total privacy or for events. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals. At parking, guests are provided with a portable toilet, outdoor solar shower, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers. Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created two more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain! Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include... Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from several scenic lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT. Fishing, paddling, swimming, or relaxing on our dock. Bird/wildlife watching, berry picking, stargazing and leaf peeping. This is a place you can easily spend a few days and keep busy! That said, if you’re looking to venture off-mountain and explore we’re in a great area to do that. We’re located only 7 minutes off Exit 14, NH Route 16 N. Places to visit nearby include... Baxter lake (public access) 5 minutes south. Portsmouth 25 minutes south. Lake Winnipesaukee 20 minutes north. Gunstock mountain resort 25 minutes north. NH’s White Mountains 40 minutes north. Conway 1 hour north. Things to do on the mountain in WINTER include... With snow, our unique network of forestry trails and glades are transformed into downhill ski/snowboard runs, snowshoe routes, and snowmobile trails. Site 1 Base Camp becomes ski-in, ski-out and is our only available site during ski season.

LEDGEWOOD at Hussey Mtn. Tree Farm
What an unreal spot!!
We had such an awesome time at Ledgewood. We stayed as a group of 5 adults and one 11 month-old. Eben was super communicative and easy to reach for the entirety of our trip. We opted to have our gear brought in via ATV and I can’t recommend that service enough! If you have coolers, a grill, bins, etc - this is a must. We carried the rest and I wore our baby on my back. I was a little nervous about the “ledge” given we have a crawling child but the campsite was pretty expansive and there was a lot of flat/ sandy areas for the baby to play and it was never an issue! We loved our daily walk to and from camp to the 4WD parking lot but we often walked all the way to the 2WD lot as well. I would highly recommend hiking around Eben’s land and checking out the numerous look offs and trails. During our stay we left camp a few times to pick berries at nearby Butternut farm and hike Mount Major (both really fun!) but for the most part, the highlight of our trip was hanging around the campsite, taking in the views, relaxing in the hammocks, and cooking over the fire. We hope to visit again and check out a different camp site on Eben’s land! His love for and stewardship of the land is apparent and it was a privilege to get to enjoy his little slice of Heaven!

BASE CAMP at Hussey Mtn. Tree Farm
Very Cool Spot, Very Nice Folks
Eben was patient and helpful with us after we drove by the entrance the first time. He provided his cell number, called, and even stood at the entrance to direct us to the site. Our site had a huge stone fire pit with firewood to purchase there. Most impressive was the immediate access to well-marked trails that led to a 360 degree lookout. It was a huge payoff for a short hike. We didn’t get to check out the lake, so we’re hoping to get back there and spend more than one night. Eben and Amy were super nice and brought us some scapes from their garden. We felt really comfortable there, and so did our dogs. Highly recommend!

THE RIDGE at Hussey Mtn. Tree Farm
My party of 4 + dog had a great time on Hussey Tree Farm! Eben is one of the best hosts I've ever encountered in hospitality. He is extremely responsive, resourceful, welcoming, and accommodating. The weekend we booked with him was expecting rain, but we decided to go forward with our trip and it was well worth it! Even with a bit of cloud, the views at the Ridge were beautiful! Eben was very communicative and provided clear instructions and directions for EVERYTHING we might have needed. We opted in for his help with his ATV to carry our stuff up - WELL WELL worth it and I'd deem it a necessisity. He helped us load, unload, and offered suggestions on where to tie our tents/stuff down. All the basic stuff like tables, chairs, firewood, a bucket of trash bags, a hatchet, rope, and even Firestarter was provided at the site so you can pack a little lighter. We checked out the entire mountain using the trail map. He's put a lot of thought and work in this and it really shows. We also brought our pup with us and he absolutely loved hiking and exploring the mountain. Zoomies all day! One of the best wholesome getaways my friends and I got to experience :)

LEDGEWOOD at Hussey Mtn. Tree Farm
Best stay
I recently stayed at Hussey Mountain Tree Farm Ledgewood Campsite and was thoroughly impressed. This private, isolated campground offers beautiful views and tranquility, perfect for those seeking peace. My primary concern was accommodating my dog, who isn't friendly with other dogs, but Eben, the host, made excellent arrangements, allowing my dog to roam off-leash. We enjoyed a Jon Boat ride on the picturesque pond, featuring a trampoline. The campsite has 3-4 sites, including one for RVs, ensuring privacy. The lack of quiet hours during weekdays offered flexibility. The cleanliness of the campsite was outstanding, with every area meticulously maintained. Accessibility was notable with clear signage, though I recommend an AWD vehicle due to the steep drive. The uphill hike to our site took about 10 minutes and could be challenging for those with walking impairments. The amenities were top-notch, including clean portable toilets, an outdoor shower, cooking utilities, and potable water. Eben’s hospitality was exceptional; he was friendly, accommodating, and always available to assist. The surrounding area offered fantastic hiking trails, scenic viewpoints, and local attractions, making it a perfect base for exploring. Eben’s dedication to an outstanding camping experience truly set this campsite apart. Highly recommended.

Everything! Eben was an informative personable host. Site 1 was delightfully designed and appointed - attention to detail was superb. We loved the solar shower. There's a colorized map of trails to wonderful views.
