With hiking trails within a short driving distance, you can explore the lush greenery and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. After a short drive, take a dip in the nearby lakes (Lake Colby and Lake Flower) and rivers for a refreshing break, or challenge yourself nearby rock climbing . If you're looking for a change of pace, the charming towns of Saranac Lake and Lake Placid are just a short drive away, offering a variety of shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. Whether you want to relax and reconnect with nature or pursue exciting outdoor activities, this site will be a great home base! Because we are a registered New York Children's Camp we ask all Hipcampers to abide by the following rules: No smoking, No consumption of alcohol, Quiet time after 10pm, Pack out your own trash.

This site was comfortable and felt safe. It’s not too far from Lake Placid. A porta potty was available but there was no toilet paper. The owner did reach out when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. She brought some water in a jug by for us. My only reason I’m unsure if I’d recommend this campsite is because of the amount of mosquitoes on the site. My friend and I were absolutely eaten up! We spent as little time as possible outside of the tent. This may just be the area, but there is a pond of standing water not far from the tent that may be the root of the cause. Other than the mosquitos, the camp was overall comfortable.

Would definitely stay again!

La Vida’s site #1 was a great site! We really enjoyed our two nights there. The site was well maintained, super flat which was great for tents, and the owners provided fire wood and about 4L (~1Gal) of fresh water for us, which was a great touch. Would definitely stay again. Thanks guys!

Beautiful Campsite

We really enjoyed our stay at the campsite. The area is clean and pretty. The area is quiet. There was no picnic table but there was a barbecue area. We were provided with a water container on the pitch. The car is not on the pitch but right next to it. The place is beautiful and pleasant. Thank you
