The tents are located between a 10 acre organic cider apple orchard and a 155 acre nature preserve with a 140' waterfall a 15 minute walk down the well-maintained trail. The cidery is a 5 minute walk and is open Thursday through Monday with food, drinks, and a beautiful view. Orchard and Gorge Tents at South Hill Cider - Sites located at the edge of Ithaca, just 4 miles from the downtown Commons, 1.5 miles from Buttermilk Falls State Park, 3 miles from Ithaca College. The property is 5 miles from Cornell University, 7 miles from Museum of the Earth, and 5.5 miles from Sciencenter. The accommodation is non-smoking. This is a really neat place is far away from the winery to enjoy the great outdoors but close enough to walk to the small restaurant, music, wine and is very aesthetically pleasing. As for the tent remember to bring lamps, bed set, pillows and lighter for fire pit. As you don't have access to water bring a gallon of water or whatever amount you think you might need I found it extra helpful to wash my hands etc. If you travel alone and want the extra secure measurement bring a small lock for your tent, I needed it to be able to sleep comfortably 😊 Enjoy!

Great family getaway!
We loved Steve’s property. Made the camping experience so much easier to have the tent and bed. We also set up another tent for the kids. Buttermilk falls is right around the corner and the campground is just yards from a gorgeous stream. We would love to come back!

Absolutely beautiful view. The tent was nice and kept us dry through a rainstorm. Loved being so close to the finger lakes trail. Took a nice hike in the morning before we left.

Camping made easy!
We loved our stay, and wish it was longer! Steve was a great host. Directions were easy, camp was clean. Fun hikes! We had not stayed in a tent like this before and it was so easy to arrive and toss on some queen sized sheets with a blanket and be done! So convenient. Fireflies were a bonus! We would love to come back and check out South Hill Cider!
