***Helene update 10/2/24: We are very blessed to report that our campsites are unharmed, accessible and with power and water. We did experience about 14 inches of rain and extreme wind causing significant tree damage. While you may notice downed trees while hiking on our 70 acres, disruption to your experience should be minimal. We hope to see you on the mountain for some beautiful autumn leaves! It's our heart when you return home that you feel like you have truly gotten away when you stay with us. We invite you to enjoy one of our two full hookup RV sites which includes 20/30/50 amp service, sewer, and water at each campsite. Our pads are extra wide, level, and extra long complete with a fire pit and picnic table. Sites are located in a grassy field surrounded by forest. Our 70 acre property boasts scenic views, two small ponds with fish to feed, and marked hiking trails. This is a perfect place for star gazing. Due to requests a second site was created in February '22. This is a perfect place for two families to enjoy this acreage all to themselves. Please see photo denoting the location of site 1 and site 2. Each site is booked independently. If you should ever decide that you want to leave this quiet haven, consider an adventure to: NASCAR North Wilkesboro Speedway 18 miles, Wilkesboro (Merelefest, Faithfest) 16 miles, West Jefferson 28 miles, Stone Mountain State Park 24 miles, Boone 43 miles, Tweetsie Railroad 46 miles, Grandfather Mtn 56 miles, Mt. Airy (Mayberry) 53 miles. We have had several 40+ft rigs stay with us with no issue. For those not used to mountain travel or new drivers please know that travel off NC 18 on the state road is a typical two lane paved mountain road with curves, some of which will require you to swing wide, an incline that does not exceed 8% in a couple of places, a short state maintained gapped section of gravel and an occasional low hanging branch. Caution: Wildlife present in the area including bear, bobcat, deer, turkey.

WOW!!
Wow is all we have to say!! Janet and Matthew are such kind and gracious hosts! They truly are the sweetest! Thank you so much for sharing your property with us! The land is beautiful, 70 acres of seclusion, hidden gem, and overall a wonderful place to unplug from all the worldly noise! We had a good cell signal and were able to stream from our phone to the TV. But, if you want to truly unplug and get back to nature this place is for you, don’t wait!! The trails are definitely a workout, but so worth it!! If you are just starting out on your camping experience, be careful of the two roads that lead you to the property. In our opinion, this spot is totally worth the journey!! My husband had no issues pulling our 36ft fifth wheel to the property. Thanks again, and we can’t wait for our next adventure on Janet and Matthew’s beautiful property!!

This was a beautiful place! It is so wonderfully kept up by Janet and her husband. There was a nice grass area between the upper and lower site. We are new travel trailer owners. It was so nice to be able to let our little dog run and play without a leash. If you want to get away from the bustle of life and you enjoy hiking and being in nature, this place is for you!
