For more information, visit our website at www.telluriancampground.com Tellurian Family Campground offers conveniently located spacious travel trailer, camper, RV and tent camp sites with incredible views and access to a pristine mountain river. The property consists of 93 acres and 2780 feet (1⁄2 mile) of river frontage on the First Broad River. The First Broad River offers canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and fishing. Smallmouth and freshwater sunfishing is incredible on this stretch of the river and there are also opportunities for mountain river catfish. Tellurian’s scenic location offers stunning vista views of the surrounding countryside, sprawling views of the South Mountain and Cherry Mountain ranges, as well as long range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The sunsets are amazing and the star lit skies are uninhibited by city lights. One of the few lights that can be seen at night lights up a steeple silhouetted against the mountain ridges. It’s truly a peaceful site. Tellurian is centrally located between Charlotte NC, Asheville NC, and Spartanburg SC in the small town of Casar, NC. We are located in a rural setting in the foothills on the edge of the South Mountains Range, a branch of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Thank you for checking out our place! We are Jud and Amanda Wortman. We have three children – Emma Grace and Baxter (twins) and Elena Jo. As a family, we enjoy canoeing, kayaking and camping. We live 9 miles from Tellurian on a family farm. We have always enjoyed quiet secluded campsites, river floats and sitting by the river. After years of looking all over the mountains for a river property we could call our own, our favorite spot on the river came up for sale. It just so happened it was nearly halfway between where we both grew up. After many sleepless nights worrying if we could succeed or not (it was much larger than properties we had been looking for), we bought it! Our favorite spot on the river was virtually inaccessible by any way other than floating. But after hundreds of hours of hard work, we think we have developed a place where others too can enjoy the things we do about the property. We dream big and Tellurian remains a work in progress, but we feel we have created a place where folks can enjoy the peacefulness of nature, the river and incredible views. Naming our campground proved to be one of the most challenging tasks throughout the process of developing it. After many ideas and brainstorming sessions as a family, we decided to go with Tellurian. We know it’s a bit different; that’s what we like about it. We think our place stands out and, after visiting Tellurian, we think you’ll agree it does too. Tellurian Campground - Site 4

Absolutely love Tellurian! ❤️

What an amazing camping experience! Tellurian is a little slice of Heaven! It was quiet and peaceful, and the views were gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful time tubing in the creek. We’ve been camping for four years, and our family agrees that this was one of the best spots we’ve ever been to. Thank you, Jud and Amanda, for sharing this beautiful place.

Tellurian Campground - Site 1

magnificent views and nice river

Jud and Amanda have a beautiful campground set up for a nice get away. Jud was nice enough to bring us to the top of the other mountain to see the sunset. They have sunflowers planted which I am sure will be beautiful when they bloom. Their daughter drew a picture of the campground and made a firestarter for us to use. The stars and view are magnificent. Thanks to your family for all your hard work making this place and we will definitely recommend your place.

Tellurian Campground - Site 2

Great location, easy to get to.

This location is great! The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, and not overbearing. There's a small river that you can access via truck or by foot. The water is very cold and refreshing during the summer months. The site was easy to find, well marked. They are very spacious lots with plenty of views of the surrounding mountains for any location. We didn't need to use the bathhouse, but it looks nice and new. I am looking forward to coming back with both my boys next time for more father / son camping and fishing.

Tellurian Campground - Site 3

Perfect Mountain View’s with river!

This place is fantastic! We could stay here again and again! Very clean, easy to maneuver spots. The river was our favorite part it has awesome swimming holes and perfect for tubing down. The owner jud made a point to stop and talk to everyone including us and gave us some great tips on where to catch the best sunset views. 10/10 you should stay here!

Tellurian Campground - Site 5

Great!!

We had such an amazing time. We didn’t get to meet Amanda however, Jud was so friendly and helpful. He made sure to say hi and ensure we had everything we needed. He gave us a welcome gift of fire starters made by his kids. Additionally we spent most of the day in the river located right by the site. Overall, we had a great trip and will definitely come back again.

Tellurian Campground - Site 4

Absolutely Phenomenal

We had a blast camping at Tellurian Family Campground. Jud met us within an hour of being there and introduced himself and explained the lay of the land. The views were wonderful and the creek was hours of fun for our daughter. The facilities were clean and well kept as well. We will definitely be returning.
