Looking for a simply beautiful place to camp in a wildflower meadow? Rose Pointe Meadow's open skyline makes for clear viewing of lovely sunsets. Stargazing in this dark sky area is a treat! Guests traveling with their canine companions are welcome. We have 2 campsites in the meadow for relaxing tent camping or bring your camper. Each camp has a fire pit and bench. For an even closer look at the stars, a popular local destination is Geauga Park District's Observatory Park and Nassau Astronomical Station. The Park District has programs featuring their planetarium and night sky viewing with telescopes. There are several vineyards to visit nearby with great food and local wine selection. Additionally, we have Mentor Headlands State Park within a 1/2 hr. drive. Mentor Headlands is a beautiful day at the beach on the shores of Lake Erie.

Buttercup Campsite #1

This was our first time using hip camp and had a phenomenal stay at Carolyn and Jeff's. The location is ideal if you're traveling through the area and very easy to find and get to. The road is stone and very well maintained, and the field was perfect for our pup to run around freely and shake loose after a day in the car. They had set up an adorable camp spot with a bench and small brush to light a fire ready to go, and Carolyn was even so kind to offer us some firewood as we arrived too late in the day to go back out to track some down. The stars were incredible for being just outside of Cleveland and the perfect send off to the awesome dreams we shared. There's a trash can and a porta potty on site which was everything we needed to be comfortable as we made camp, and overall this is a welcoming home with great hosts we are fortunate to have found and will likely return to any time we are traveling through the area.
