Grassy mowed area along the Sixes River on our cattle ranch and cranberry farm. We provide an outdoor shower and composting toilet shared by the 3 camp sites. The shower water is filtered water from a shallow well, but bring water to drink. This campsite lies about 1 mile from the pacific ocean at about 15 feet elevation so it will be cooler than inland camp sites. I believe we are the closest camping to the south side of the Blacklock Hiking Trails. Also next to the Cape Blanco State Airport. (call if you want to fly in and get transport to and from the campsite). Access Road is a single lane in and out (gravel, dirt, and grass). Any towed trailers need to be pulled by a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle to climb back out (in and out procedures for trailers will be provided) Bring a fishing pole or a kayak. Sea-run trout are in the river during the summer. Only friendly and quiet pets are allowed. (Note: Don't approach lone elk cows....they currently have calves and will be aggressive.)

Boondocking near the River
Joe was nice enough to help guide us to our spot and reassured my partner that our RV could make it to the camp spot from the steep road. He provided wood for a camp fire and freshly built picnic table that we made use of. It was a nice experience boondocking not far from the river. Would go back.

Beautiful setting!
Maybe one of the best HipCamp locations I have stayed in (and I have been in many across the US). Totally worth the visit. Very quiet, not buggy at all (late June visit), nice cool temps for sleeping. Vault toilet & shower were both very clean.

Site One Serenity
What's not to love about this amazing campsite by the river? Private, serene, and calm is how I would describe this property. My pup and I car camped at Site number one and while it's the furthest from the river (one minute walk versus 5 second), I appreciated the privacy as my rescue dog is a bit shy. I did not use the shower during my stay but it looked lovely. Would definitely book again!

Love it here
Such a peaceful private location! Saw a herd of elk, then had a nice hot outdoor shower overlooking the river. The next morning we went fishing and watched a couple of raccoons having breakfast in the river. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful spot. Clean, quiet spot on the creek. Privacy even with other spaces occupied. Access road was well graded but steep in places. If you're towing, make sure you're towing sensibly.

This place was great! Beautiful location, plenty of room. A dreamy outdoor shower. In my opinion it had it all. The host was wonderful and responsive, came down to make sure we were all good for the evening and to set us up with firewood. Will be booking this one again.
