Local groceries and fuel about 10 miles from the camp site. Bring all your pets and come see the a Milky Way Galaxy and get out of the light belt. Stay a night or a few. Site 3 - "Silver Rock Sky View Ranch"
To start, the host was very helpful with our questions, they made us feel very welcomed and safe. We had the place entirely to ourselves, and the stars were so surreal, the Milky Way lit of the sky. The host has done an amazing job creating a unique place for people. It is a very remote area, we still got two bars on our phone and were able to make calls and use the internet. Driving up, you can see the cabins the host is renovating, it gives ghost town vibes, but without the cemetery. I would recommend to a friend.

This IS out there! No services available but my son and I still had a good nights sleep during our roadtrip.

Site 4 - "Silver Rock Sky View Ranch"
Rutted, muddy, huge puddles
The approach to the site was a mess. Deep muddy ruts, long unknown depth puddles and no signs. We could not find the site and nearly got stuck trying to turn our 4x4 van around. We stayed in a national forest 40 minutes away. Requested a refund via host and hipcamp. Host has not responded, hipcamp also seems to be dragging their feet.

Site 1 - "Silver Rock Sky View Ranch"
Perfect for stargazing
Tracy was very friendly and has a fantastic property. We went there when there were no other guests and the spot was spacious, private, and the views were spectacular. His dogs even came to say hello. We came to do some stargazing and there was little to no light pollution. If your visiting near summer lake I would highly recommend staying here.

The site was great, we went looking for solitude and that is definitely what we got. The driveway to the spot was not well maintained and I am glad our vehicle had high clearance.
