This was a foreclosed property which is being brought back to its glory. We border the Tohono O’odham land with many, many desert hikes and sightseeing trips to take. We have 6 full hook ups, 5 partial hook ups with water/septic and plenty of space for boondockers to pitch their tent. We are surrounded by desert for hiking and are only 17 miles from the Organ Pipe National Monument. (28 from Sonoita/Mexico). There is a ton of wildlife here and coyotes/wild burros/quail/roadrunners and more can be seen daily. Our campground has about 50 egg laying chickens, 2 roosters and a Turkey named Boudicca (Celtic Warrior Queen). They all love to be held and cuddled. Come experience our vast dark starry skies and our Scottish hospitality. You won’t regret it.

IMPORTANT! This is a brand new listing and camp is still quite messy! It's still in various states of disrepair and the lengthy clean-up process. That's why prices are currently super-low. Prefer long-term guests. --- Adults and "nonsmokers" only ___ Situated in the "Five Acres" neighborhood on the outskirts of Ajo, this former garage and wood-shop site is a rustic and eccentric place to camp. Located within three miles of the historic Ajo Plaza as well as shopping and other resources, art and music events, and various local attractions. Bought in 2024, renovations began in 2025 and although hookups are limited, there is a 30amp outlet, some 110 outlets, and one sewer with a splitter that can be shared, although several feet away from campsites. There are some nice views though, and ample water hookups. Trash pickup is limited, although there are options. Please also be aware: Although tent camping is technically allowed, this campground isn't optimized for tent campers unless the party is accompanied by an RV because there currently are no toilets, sinks, or showers available for use on the property. Nobody under 18 years allowed on the premises (sorry, but property still has some hazards like rusty nails and other potentially unsafe conditions) this is currently an adults only establishment. Guests and visitors agree that access to the property means you are liable and mindful of potential hazards and to stay out of structures (unless explicit permission is given) and away from junk piles and other potentially dangerous places. Property lines are marked but sometimes not made obvious unless pointed out. Please wander at your own risk and know your boundaries if that applies. Sorry, but combustible tobacco products like cigarettes and cigars are not to be used outdoors anywhere on or next to the property, and smoke must not be exiting your windows or doors. (It's a major health hazard for the owner.) Basically, smokers are respectfully asked to find another campground. Vaping and chewing tobacco is accepted in addition to smoking herbal products as long as there's permission from camping neighbors... (Full list of rules listed on campsite information)

Marvel at the abundant wildlife and beauty in the only place in the United States where the organ pipe cactus grows wild. This National Monument and UNESCO biosphere reserve is in southern Arizona. The park spans 517 square miles and offers tons of hiking trails of all difficulty levels. Bring your map, compass, camera, hat, and lots of water. It can be scorching hot here, even in September.

Some of the best hiking is off the beaten trails and out in the canyons. If you favor something tamer, try the easy 1-mile loop around Twin Peaks Campground. If you're headed out at dawn or sunset, take the Desert View Trail: an easy 1.2-mile loop to beautiful vistas with benches. Need a challenge? The 3-mile Bull Pasture trail is a difficult one with steep grades, exposed cliffs and spectacular views of Mexico.

Give your legs a rest and take the very popular 21-mile Ajo Mountain Drive. This scenic route with expansive views is on mostly gravel roads that twist and turn. It's a popular biking road too, so share the road safely. Bikes are allowed on all roads open to vehicle traffic in the monument but are not allowed on the hiking trails.

Organ Pipe Cactus has two campgrounds that let visitors choose between modern comforts and a more primitive wilderness setting. There are also multiple zones designated for backcountry camping. Visitors are often surprised at how uncrowded, peaceful and green this remote park is. If you're seeking serenity, solitude and spectacular hiking, this national monument is a no-brainer.
