Killington Ski Area
Ski resort
Killington Ski Area, known as 'The Beast of the East,' is renowned for its diverse terrain and long skiing season, often starting in November and extending into May. The resort boasts a significant annual snowfall, supplemented by extensive snowmaking capabilities. With over 150 trails and 21 lifts, including two high-speed gondolas, the mountain caters to all skill levels, from beginner to expert. It features several terrain parks, a high-speed six-person bubble chair, and a gondola that services Killington Peak, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding Green Mountains. While the resort is known for its challenging terrain, it also offers plenty of beginner-friendly areas. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails are available, enhancing its family-friendly appeal. Additional winter activities include ice skating, snow tubing, and snowmobiling, ensuring that there's something for everyone. The resort does not offer night skiing, but its vibrant après-ski scene compensates for that, with numerous dining and entertainment options.
