Mt. Ashland Ski Area
Ski resort
Mt. Ashland Ski Area is a charming ski resort located in Southern Oregon, known for its impressive annual snowfall that averages around 265 inches, providing a solid base for the skiing season which typically runs from early December to April. The resort offers a variety of terrain that caters to all skill levels, including beginner-friendly slopes and more challenging runs for experienced skiers. While the resort does not have a terrain park, it does boast 240 acres of skiable terrain with a vertical drop of 1,150 feet, serviced by four lifts. The views from the resort are stunning, with vistas of the Siskiyou and Cascade ranges. Mt. Ashland is considered family-friendly and offers ski and snowboard lessons for all ages. While there are no cross-country trails, night skiing areas, or dedicated backcountry areas within the resort, the surrounding area is popular for backcountry skiing. Additional winter activities at or near the resort include snowshoeing, but there are no ice skating, snow tubing, snowmobiling, or sledding facilities provided by the resort itself.
