Mt. Hood Meadows
Ski resort
Mt. Hood Meadows is a prominent ski resort located on the southeastern side of Mt. Hood in Oregon, known for its impressive annual snowfall that averages around 430 inches, contributing to a long skiing season that typically runs from November to May. The resort offers diverse terrain that caters to all skill levels, including beginners, with dedicated learning areas and gentle slopes. There are also terrain parks for freestyle enthusiasts, and advanced skiers can explore the challenging backcountry areas. While there are no cross country trails directly at Meadows, nearby Teacup Nordic provides Nordic skiing. Night skiing is available, offering a unique experience on the mountain. The lift system is modern and efficient, helping to reduce wait times. The views from the resort are stunning, with panoramic vistas of the surrounding Cascade Range. Mt. Hood Meadows is family-friendly, with ski and snowboard schools for all ages. Other winter activities include snowshoeing tours. While there are no ice skating, snow tubing, snowmobiling, or sledding areas within the resort, the surrounding area offers opportunities for these activities, ensuring there's something for everyone.
