The resort typically enjoys a healthy snowfall, with an average of around 275 inches per season, allowing for a skiing season that usually runs from December through April. The terrain at Mt. Shasta Ski Park is diverse, offering something for every level of skier and snowboarder. It is beginner-friendly with gentle slopes, but also features more challenging runs for intermediate and advanced skiers. The park includes terrain parks for those looking to practice their freestyle skills. While there are no designated backcountry areas within the ski park, the surrounding area of Mount Shasta is known for backcountry opportunities. Cross-country trails and night skiing are not currently offered at this resort. The lift system includes three triple chairs and a surface lift. The views from the slopes are stunning, with the majestic Mount Shasta towering above and panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. Mt. Shasta Ski Park is family-friendly, with ski and snowboard lessons available for all ages. Other winter activities at the resort include snow tubing, which is a hit with families. There are no ice skating, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, or sledding areas at the ski park itself, but the region around Mount Shasta offers many of these activities for winter sports enthusiasts looking for additional adventures.
