Sunrise Park Resort
Ski resort
Sunrise Park Resort is a popular ski destination located in the White Mountains of Eastern Arizona. Known for its impressive snowfall, the resort often enjoys a substantial amount of natural snow, supplemented by snowmaking, which supports a ski season that usually runs from late November or early December through March or April. The terrain at Sunrise Park Resort caters to all skill levels, with a good mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails. It features three mountains with a total of 65 runs serviced by a lift system that includes one high-speed quad chairlift, two quad chairlifts, and four triple chairlifts. The resort also offers a terrain park for those looking to practice their freestyle skills. While there aren't designated backcountry areas within the resort, adventurous skiers and snowboarders can find off-piste opportunities. Cross country skiing is available, with trails providing scenic views of the surrounding area. Night skiing is not typically offered at Sunrise Park Resort. The resort is family-friendly, offering ski and snowboard lessons for all ages. Additional winter activities include snowshoeing and a tubing hill, making it a well-rounded destination for winter sports enthusiasts. However, there are no ice skating, snowmobiling, or sledding areas within the resort. The views from the slopes are stunning, with panoramic vistas of the White Mountains and the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests.
