Enchanted Forest Cross Country Ski Area is a specialized Nordic ski destination located near Red River, New Mexico. It is known for its ample snowfall and typically operates from Thanksgiving through late March, depending on snow conditions. The resort offers a variety of trails suitable for all skill levels, making it beginner-friendly, but it also provides more challenging terrain for experienced Nordic skiers. While there are no terrain parks or alpine skiing lifts, the resort boasts 33 kilometers of groomed cross country ski trails and 15 kilometers of snowshoe trails. Enchanted Forest does not offer night skiing but is known for its beautiful, serene forested landscape, providing picturesque views of the surrounding mountains. It is considered family-friendly and offers other winter activities such as snowshoeing. There are no ice skating, snow tubing, snowmobiling, or sledding areas at this resort, ensuring a quiet and nature-focused experience.
