30 acres hosted by Cora S.
1 RV/tent site
Hey ya'll! We are nestled in 1,000's of acres of State Forest, dirt roads, and real country life! When you pull up our secluded driveway, you will see a clearing to our beautiful 30 acre homestead, then you'll head back to the barn to your private camping spot.
The native pines and rolling golden field grasses that sway in the (perfect) breeze will immediately take all your worries away, and you can let the de-stressing begin!
Nomad's Nest is optimized for those who trailer and travel with their beloved horses, but anyone looking to park their RV/Camper under the open-air barn is welcome. We have 20/30/50 amp service and running water.
Just tenting it? Feel free to set up and relax under the stars or under the open-air barn area.
H. Cooper Black is a very popular recreation area boasting over 7,000 acres and is considered the most equine friendly park in the area. You can ride there from our land or it's just a short drive there (about 7 miles).
We are also very close to Cheraw State Park that has famous Lake Jane and you can hit the beach, go kayaking or rent a paddle board, a golf course, and very pretty walking/hiking trails.
If you are into mountain biking, hiking, picnics, and exploring - than head to the Sand Hills Forest (a 46,000 acre protected forest) or Carolina National Wildlife Refuge!
Interesting fact: The sandy land in this area is left over from an ancient sea! Take a short hike up to Sugarloaf Mountain for incredible views of the vast forests covering the old sea bed.We are ideal for those who are traveling with their beloved horses as we have 2 stalls (open stalls) in the barn and you can park your RV/Camper under the open-air barn (on the other side of the stall area)
The area is your personal and private camping oasis! Relax under the pines and enjoy a campfire, or take a walk on the 30 acres while your horses enjoy a large 4 acre fenced in field, or choose one of the 2 smaller paddocks.
You can also head to H. Cooper Black for over 20 miles of riding trails, Sandhills Parks for more trails for riding your horse, mountain bike or just some hiking.
Just tenting it? That's cool too! Set up by the barn, or under it for some more protection if you would like.
Fire ring, chairs, water, and electricity included.
**We do not have toilets, we do not provide water troughs, and all dogs must be kept on a leash or under strict voice control.
