Good place
Easy directions, good spaced camping, and close to the parking. Bathrooms were clean.

Site 1 electric and water only
Very nice stay
Owners onsite so can assist with most anything. Site was clean, large, well equipped. Views were beautiful. Great place.

Listing creates false expectations
I’m sure that Brandon and Lynn are very nice people and I’m sure we could have had a nice time and moved past the initial discomfort we felt on their land. However, upon pulling up to what we thought would be a half acre RV spot to ourselves (RV Site #2), we were shocked to find that our camper would be directly next to two other permanent RV’s. There was also a large shipping container in our direct view and on the “1/2 acre” site with lumber, trash, an old toilet, machinery, etc. It was about 100 ft from our spot. We instantly felt uncomfortable because the ad on Hipcamp seemed very misleading. Not only are there no photos of other Rv’s parked within 10 feet of site #2, but there is no mention of it at all. We decided to leave the site and find another place to camp. Unfortunately we were already within the cancellation window and no refund would be given despite the misleading photos and ad. This spot received great reviews and that is the only reason we chose this location. As Airbnb super hosts, we understand the challenges of running a vacation home, but full disclosure is always the best policy in order to mitigate expectations. If you’re fine with staying back to back with other rv’s and looking at a trash pile, you might be okay with this spot. But we fought hard to get to Big Bend and we really wanted more privacy and attention to detail.

Croesus Canyon Car Camping
Beautiful natural surroundings. Very rare beauty. The camping sites are nicely designed preserving the natural landscape.

Croesus Canyon Glamping Tent
Glamping was really great!
Glamping tent had all we needed and more. When the wind picked up on our first night, it whipped and whirled and we were secure in the tent. There was a heater we could use, bottled water, and rechargeable lights. It was walking distance to the bathroom and shower facility and Lynn came to greet us. Very welcoming place. It was our first experience glamping and we'll be back.

It was beautiful camping! We booked too late for BBNP but glad because it was more remote and less crowded at Brandon’s land. He did a great job with the car camping area. He also makes wonderful BBQ. The outdoor shower was an excellent perk after a day of hiking! And great communication from Brandon! This was a great experience for our first time using HipCamp!
