Sunrise camping
We tent-camped for two nights at Sunrise Camp and we were right up within a short distance of a beautiful red mesa, and only a few minutes to Monument Valley main entrance. There’s a short, hilly overlook walk from the camp, and that was the first thing we did. You can see several of the monuments close by, from the hike. The spot itself is rather windy, and red dust can blow a little, but it was actually OK in mid-October. All the stars were out and we loved that. The hosts were great.

Awesome Stay
We had a wonderful time at Sunrise Campground. Very peaceful and beautiful spot next to Monument Valley and surrounded by beautiful landscape. Celia’s granddaughter provided us with an awesome dinner of Navajo tacos. They were delicious. We took the short hike to the edge of their property where we could overlook Monument Valley - breathtaking. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Would love to go back. Thank you all!!

Great Location
We really enjoyed our stay at Sunrise camping. It is very basic and could do with some tlc, but it's location we loved. As others have said there is access to a path which not only gets you to a great spot to see sunrise and sunset, but will allowed us to pick up trails into the valley.

Perfect Monument Camping
Rustic accommodations exactly as described with an unbeatable location next to Monument Valley. The hiking trail out the backdoor of the property made this stay extra magical for us as we hiked out to a private vista of the valley. Thank you guys!

Great place to walk from to look out over Monument Valley at sun set and sun rise.
Very basic campsite with just a basic toilet. We were in a RV and loved it.
