With the main house built in 1860 this property has seen many uses such as a farm, retail Christmas store, church, rental cabins, and a gravel quarry among other things. I now try to keep the back acreage by the brook and pond as natural as possible for habitat, as well as you the campers! Learn more about this land: Most will have cell service at the site or there is a free public Wi-Fi in Wilmington center. Private yet convenient to Downtown Wilmington, VT. Located between the Harriman reservoir and Lake Raponda, both great for boating, fishing and swimming. As well as the Deerfield River across the street, which runs through town. There is a public hiking trail that goes through the property. It goes from the Fairview ave. boat launch in Wilmington, all the way up to West Dover. You can access this at the back of the site. The site is only a minutes drive from downtown Wilmington, or you can hike/bike there on the trail (approx 15 min). In Wilmington there is plenty of shopping, gifts, coffee, restaurants, gas, liquor store. I also have dry, split firewood available as an extra for $5. Please don't bring your own unless it is prepackaged from shaws or bought from one of the local sellers right around me. Transportation of out of state firewood can bring invasive beetles to our forests...This campsite is located in Wilmington VT at the back of 9 acres. In a field, next to a 2 acre pond and the forest. There is a fire pit with a grill, a picnic table and lawn games for your use. There are no facilities so please be sure to be self-contained and leave no trace. Some will have cell service at the site. There is a also free public Wi-fi in Wilmington center. Private yet convenient to Downtown Wilmington, VT (9/10ths of a mile). Peaceful Pondside Retreat

Beautiful quiet location. Loved the fact that the public walking trail was accessible from the yard- nice to be able to walk to the center of town rather than drive. Thank you for your hospitality!

Peaceful Pondside Retreat

Great place. I needed a quiet spot to park my Go Fast Camper for the night before starting a section of the nearby Appalachian Trail early the next morning and Gus's place hit the mark. He was great at communicating and I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

Peaceful Pondside Retreat

Peaceful and private

Beautiful setting, peaceful just as described. The small pond attracts redwing blackbirds and bullfrogs. Picnic table, small kayak and lawn games available. There's both shade and sun, and a small floating dock. Very private. We loved it.

Great place to spend the night. Nice location, next to the pond. With a bonus small stream and hiking trail. We enjoyed this very private stay
