We are a family/veteran-owned small farm offering primitive creek-side and open field camping that's perfect for motorcyclists, car campers, and tourists traveling on an adventure. We are located along the historic Crooked Road Music Trail and right off the Blue Ridge Parkway at mile marker 159.3. The picturesque town of Floyd is only 4 miles away, with easy access to music, shopping, multiple grocery stores, local and international themed restaurants - all with a true feeling of Appalachian hospitality. There are 6 creek-side campsites and open-field campsites in the peaceful field, all with access to trails. We have been developing our dream property and wanted to welcome visitors with affordable tent camping in an incredibly beautiful area of the country. Also, on the property we have a store with essential camping needs, local products, artisan items, coffee, and souvenirs. During the summer we offer a "YouPick" flower experience in our crop field (come get a container and pick your own bouquet of flowers) and special/tourism events. Peak season for flowers is from July to September. We would love for you to camp and give us feedback as we are constantly improving things. Our newest amenity is a 1 mile hiking trail that starts at the campground and takes you through the woods to the top of our property. Come ride, camp, and explore the area!

Creekside Site 2

Great place to use as base for exploring and hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway (only 1/4 mile away), and the nearby town of Floyd. The Creekside #2 site was big enough for 2 tents and the sound of the stream was relaxing.

Open Field 4

This camp site was decent, we camped in the open field and arrived a little past 8pm. This location is not difficult to find. They have listed that they have a toilet/shower and I was specifically trying to find sites with toilets because I was traveling with my mother. The toilet is a porta potty that was out of hand sanitizer and the shower is a dirt floor barn, we also couldn’t even get the sink in the wash room to turn on. There is inadequate lighting for dawn/dusk usage of the porta potty and shower room. You will need flashlights/headlamps. They also had a family camping right next to these rooms who had a dog who would bark everytime someone went in the room(s). The owners shouldnt allow pets so close to main areas to prevent constant noise of barking dog(s). Overall we got there, slept, and made it out in one piece which is always good enough. But would I come back? Eh probably not.

Creekside Site 3

It was my wife and I’s second time coming to Crooked Mountain and we loved just as much as the first time! The amenities are fantastic and the owners are some of the nicest people around. We enjoyed exploring more of Floyd this time and we highly recommend getting to know the town.

Lovely spot, great stay

Crooked Mountain is a BEAUTIFUL spot with lovely, accommodating hosts! We slept well at our spot by the creek, and the sounds of water and cicadas were gentle and soothing. Clean amenities and thoughtful touches all around. Highly recommended!!

Creekside site 4

Perfect little spot by the creek

Although we didn't get to spend a ton of time there due to one of our kids not feeling well with the humidity, we enjoyed ourselves. Kids loved playing in the creek and the water flowing over the rocks made for a relaxing background noise. We will definitely go back again and enjoy it longer! Christy was helpful between our chats and when we arrived and you couldn't ask for a nicer person! Thank you again!
