Paradise Farms not recommended
We arrived at Paradise Farms expecting a campsite we had picked on the app that had full-hookups, water, electric and sewer. But someone else had parked so our site was blocked. Stephanie wanted to put us in a spot that was not really a campsite, behind 2 other campers. It was a terrible spot we tried to shoehorn our camper into but it simply didn't work. I saw one of the people in the camper adjacent to the site spraying some kind of insecticide around his camper. Not a situation we wanted to camp next to for a week. So we told her we needed to move. We ended up next to the people who blocked our original site and Stephanie jury rigged our electric with a long extension cord and for water we had a long hose. There was no sewer hook-up so she put a dump tank on the ground next to our camper. And because the other people parked wrong they also had a dump tank. The tank was too high for our blackwater and gray water valves so we had no way to easily dump our tanks. And the dump tanks smelled terrible. It was hot, in the 80's, and that made the smell worse. For $75 a night this was unacceptable. We spent 2 nights but were so uncomfortable we found another campground. We sent Stephanie a message telling her we were leaving and why, requesting a refund for the remaining nights. She never responded even after we texted her phone and sent 2 other messages. We finally asked Hipcamp for help and they gave us a credit for half the money.

Nice but not what we expected
We have mixed feelings about this site. We had access to water, electricity & sewer, but the orientation of the connections were odd. If you backed-in, they were on the wrong side. Pulling in, they were at the front of the rig & getting our tow vehicle disconnected & out was challenging due to a horse pasture fence next to the site. The set-up & location of the sites weren't the same sites shown on the page. There were RVs in the spots shown on the hipcamp page & appeared to be long-term spots. Water & electricity on our site was fine, however the sewer was an above ground holding tank. When dumping, gravity is your friend. In this case, with the tank being above ground, there was no way to dump without the process of lifting the sewer hose higher than the tank. It probably took us 45 mins to dump our black tank. Additionally, there is a florescent light right between the two sites (kinda of like what you would find in a parking lot). This takes away from the atmosphere we expected when camping (stars, moonlight, campfire light). On the positive side, Stephanie was responsive & timely to questions via the app & text. She even arranged assistance for our hipcamp neighbors when they were leaving & got stuck in the mud due to some heavy rains. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet her as she had to go out of town on an emergency. Regardless of some of the challenges mentioned above, we still enjoyed the time on the farm, at the pond & just being outdoors.

RV Site 2
Everything was fantastic. It was quiet and peaceful the spots are nicely spread out. If we needed anything or had issues they were on top of it.

We could not have asked for a better weekend at Paradise Farm. Such a beautiful setting and the most gracious hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. The horse back riding and fishing were highlights for us but there was so much for the kids to do outside. It tops the list of places our family has visited and we hope to go back very soon!

Awesome Host & Awesome Place!
We were there for Blue Ridge Rock Fest, so we didn't get to truly enjoy this amazing place and I'm sad about it. It's absolutely beautiful and Stephanie was an awesome host. She was always very quick to respond and was very accommodating with an early check-in and late check-out. If we are ever in the area again, I would love to stay there again.
