Eight Four Eight Camp is located on 38 acres of woods & fields including seasonal stream. This property is adjacent to our family's original 28 acre farm and is part of our broader ~80 acre property group that is dedicated to sustainability, forestry management, wildlife habitat, and enjoyment of the outdoors. Eight Four Eight Camp backs on to forest service land for additional hiking & recreation opportunities. Note: no active trails are available - it's all bushwhacking on forest service land; experienced hikers only. ~15 minutes from downtown White Salmon. ~30 minutes from downtown Hood River ~1.5 hours from downtown PDX Road into camp is not meant for big RVs or tow behinds but smaller camper vans or popup campers are likely fine. Porta-potties available for each site or group of sites. Well water available from shared spigot at Elderberry Flats & Evergreen Gove sites. No campfires - burn ban in effect.

Evergreen Grove

Lovely private glamping spot!

Loved this spot! We have reactive dogs so we wanted to find something that wasn’t a crowded campground. At Evergreen Grove we had our own meadow that our dogs could sniff around in, and the wooden platform and private porta potty made for a super clean and comfortable glamping experience. Being surrounded by tall trees was lovely for shade and bird watching. The open meadow allowed for stargazing. The host and other campers were at least 100 yards away. They were out of sight but you could still hear them far off; kid laughter, roosters, other dogs barking, etc. Not a big deal for us, but it did make our dogs a little restless. We also heard owls hooting and coyotes howling in the night which was exciting! We explored the little creek trail accessed by walking back down the road past the other campsite. It was steep in places but doable. Would definitely recommend Evergreen Grove for people looking for a private “easy” camping experience that feels like you’re out in nature but aren’t too far away from civilization.

Evergreen Grove

Great stay

We only stayed for a quick night after exploring the Washington side of the gorge but it was a perfect spot. The property is quiet and even though we had the place to ourselves, the sites ate pretty private. Lily had clear and easy communication and the place was easy to find.

Canyon Overlook

Private and secluded!

Very private and feels more remote than it is. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again! Appreciated the porta-potty and potable water. We had plenty of TP but maybe bring extra just in case.

Evergreen Grove

Camp sites are very well spaced providing lots of privacy and peace. Particularly liked this site and the on site portapotty. No loose dogs on property which is always a plus for me, a reactive dog owner! There are plenty of deer that show up during dusk. Would definitely recommend for a quick getaway.

Canyon Overlook

Myself and three friends stayed at the Eight Four Eight camp northeast of White Salmon. We loved the location and the privacy of each spot. It was a fantastic retreat and very close to town, and we will absolutely look forward to booking here again in the future.

Elderberry Flats

Lily's Eight Four Eight campground is a wonderful escape! Beautiful scenery, very clean, and all the sites are spaced very far apart, so if you like a bit of privacy when camping, Eight Four Eight is perfect. As an additional treat, we saw a bunch of deer and a wild turkey 🙂 Lily is a responsive and communicative host, which is very much appreciated. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be coming back!
