We loved this site. Visiting at the end of June, there were many, many butterflies and birds passing through. Around the perimeter of our site there were blackberries and mulberries.
We met the owner and he was very friendly and courteous.

Great location, private spot
If you're a mt. biker, the access to both John Muir & Emma Carlin trails couldn't be much more convenient. Bald Bluff hiking trail & Palmyra are minutes away too. Very accessible, yet secluded location. If you have the place to yourself, it's entirely private. It's basically a small grassy field surrounded by woods. Unfortunately, we didn't stay because of steady rain. The high grass was too wet to enjoy. I'll definitely go back. It's about the same price as the increasing cost of Pinewoods campground. However, it's very primitive, no picnic table which is mentioned in notes. Those who need a proper toilet may not find the tent set up ideal. But it is close enough to town...

Secluded campsite
This is a beautiful, secluded campsite with woods and meadow and choices of where to set up your tent. There's a water spigot very nearby. Very peaceful setting.

Tent camping here was great. Quiet spot. Close to John Muir trailhead and the rest of Kettle south.

Great site, perfect mix between car camping and backpacking. Secluded and near trails - water on site huge plus. Had a great time.

Chris' property is very nice, we enjoyed it very much. We did not want a busy campground, more of a secluded and peaceful experience. This campground is exactly that.
