This property is in Northangera with the Mongarlowe River running along the boundary. It's covered in trees and provides a pristine environment amongst the "Scribbly Gums". It has flat areas with plenty of free timber for the designated fire pits. I have tried to create a haven for wildlife including Kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and platypus. I cherish the cleanliness of the river and surrounds and wish to be able to share this special environment with others who care to preserve all it offers. You can explore the property along the tracks, paddle, swim or fish in the river, enjoy the fauna, wildlife and birdlife. Located not far from Braidwood, a town steeped in history, with good shopping, coffee shops and great food. Sloping to flat land amongst the Scribbly Gum trees offering a number of sites and walks through the property. It provides both sun and shade. Access is good for vans of any size along a track through the bushland. Lovely swimming spots in the Mongalowe River, beautiful clear water, and several lovely bushwalks around the property. We offer four sites and the maximum stay is 7 nights.

With over 600 acres of Australian bush, our property is ideal for campers that want their own space. We are completely off-grid (no wifi to distract you) and we run off tank water (for this reason showers are only available for two hours in the evening). There are multiple camp sites on the property - some are close to hot showers and toilets, others are within a short walking distance. Some sites are perfect for our self sufficient campers who might want a nice private location and don't need access to amenities. There are two shared camp kitchen areas (with pizza ovens and bbqs). We have two amenities blocks with toilets and hot showers and two further compost toilets located at other sites. Campfires are permitted in designated areas (check with us when booking) and firewood can be added to your booking - we do require at least 24 hours notice if you want wood. There are lots of old-style games for the kids such as cricket, tennis, playground, bikes available, a swim in the dam and general country running around fun! Unfortunately we no longer have our flying fox, but there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy. We have some great bush walking areas where you might be lucky enough to see our resident wombats or our breeding pair of Wedge-tailed Eagles. You might also be lucky enough to be there when our two kelpies, Finn and Tori, are moving sheep through the property (they like to put on a show!!). The property dates back to the early 1900s and there are numerous historic buildings on the property. The earliest is a wooden slab hut that was built around the beginning of the 19th century - the Goulburn Penny Post newspaper, dated 3 December 1904 lines the walls of the hut. It also has a two shearing stand wooden shed built by Marcus Dawe in 1922. We try to make sure all of our guests have a great experience - so if you have any special requests reach out to us and have a chat!

The camping area is surrounded by walking tracks and over the Christmas period the renowned Clyde Berry Farm is open where you can pick your own fresh berries or relax on the grounds for a ice-cream. You will find Shallow Crossing is also just a 10 min drive up the River Road for an exhilarating swim in fresh mountain water. The traditional water side camp kitchen offers a BBQ and table to eat. Choose from a selection campsites, one that overlooks farmland with views to the river flats and mountains or a grassed riverbank. The large and open level grassy area is perfect for tents, caravans and RVs. A flushing toilet and a hot water shower are available. Phone reception is pretty reliable. There is a deep swimming hole close by, wonderful for a dip, snorkling, gold panning... At the edge of the swimming hole is mowed grass area for relaxing. Children are welcome, although to be supervised at all times. We also have a designated campfire area with firewood supplied on arrival and additional available if requested. Dogs welcome if controlled at all times and do not interfere with our livestock.

Burrendah Farm Camp

200 acres of beautiful farmland situated on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Enjoy a campsite overlooking the stunning Brindabellas or a small spot next to the dam, if you bring your 4WD. There are plenty of local food and wine venues in the surrounding area for you to enjoy. Pets are welcome but we do have livestock on the property, so please keep them on leash. Campfires are allowed as long as there are no fire restrictions in place. All campers must have their own supplies and be self sufficient as we do not supply any amenities: you will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet, shower and water. Please do not dig a toilet hole, even though you leave it covered, it doesn't take long for the foxes to dig it up!! There is mobile reception. No shooting, archery or hunting. Camper trailers and caravans are welcome but can only stay at the easily accessible camp site. Please note, the road to the river is now impassable even for 4WD - we will update here when it is back up to scratch. But you do get your pick of 2 other lovely sites!

Southern Tablelands Bush Camping

Peaceful unspoilt bush and farm land on the Great Dividing Range. 1 hour from Canberra, 3 hours from Sydney. Turn off highway down 6.5km private gravel road, then follow short dirt tracks into campsites. Choice of two secluded campgrounds over 1km apart; only one private group per campground. Campfires allowed when conditions permit, free firewood supplied. No services (power, water, sewerage, rubbish collection or wifi). Peppermint Gum Group Campground is well established and suits larger groups of friends or 2-3 families (max 16 guests). Located in 1.6ha (4 acres) of grassy woodland, it offers a good choice of mown campsites in shade or sun. A large communal clearing is centrally located for group gatherings, with a rustic camp kitchen hut for all-weather cooking and eating. A pit toilet is a short walk away, with handwashing station and views! Snowgums Campsite is a smaller campsite for up to 6 people, on a low forested ridge overlooking Sandhills Creek below. 3 separate mown tent sites and a campfire clearing in protected snowgums forest. Several kilometres of marked walking trails within the property. There are also several kms of walking tracks directly from the campsite along Sandhills Creek and the 'mountain paddock'. Owners live further along the road on the property, and can be contacted if needed. A separate AirBnB house is located on the property; please respect the privacy of fellow guests.

Imagine a mesmerizing camping destination nestled along the banks of the serene Clyde river. Towering trees provide a natural canopy overhead, dappling sunlight onto the lush forest floor. Picture yourself setting up camp near the riverbank, with the refreshing breeze carrying the scent of wildflowers. As the day fades into night, marvel at the starlit sky mirrored on the shimmering surface of the river. It's a breathtaking experience that seamlessly blends nature's beauty with the joy of outdoor living. Brooman rests approximately half way between Ulladulla and Batemans Bay on the fresh water section of the Clyde River. The property stretches south on both sides of the river from the Old Sawmill Town located at its northern end. Brooman is a working farm and encompasses lots of beautiful spaces, restored old buildings, two small mountains, fertile river flats, native forests, grasslands, deep water holes, tree covered rapid sections of river and sweeping views. Brooman is less than 30 minutes drive to some of the most beautiful beaches on the south coast. Shallow Crossing is 10 minutes to the south. North is Pigeon House car park, Yadboro and the base of The Castle. To the West there are hundreds of kilometres of Forestry and National Park roads through some of the most spectacular forested mountain country east of the Coastal Range. The Clyde River Berry Farm is just minutes down the road. Local fish and chips, great coffee and handmade bread is 25mins drive at Burrill Lake. Some of the best restaurants and bars on the coast are less than 40 minutes drive at Milton and Mollymook. If you are looking to relax and recharge in nature or explore amazing country, then Brooman is it.

The Shoalhaven River is a short 20 minute drive from the property, 25 minutes to Goulburn CBD for all your supply needs, and Canberra is 1 hour away. Enjoy the evenings warming your toes around the campfire as you gaze at the night sky. The area is peppered with many other quaint villages. Excellent overnight stop from the coast and the wine country. Please note that firewood is not available and there are no fires permitted October till April. Pets welcome.

Originally a historical farming property, Clyde River Camp Grounds offer the ultimate in camping on manicured pastures directly on the Clyde River. We also offer Powered Caravan and RV sites, unpowered in Off peak times For powered sites please book through: Clyde River Caravan and RV Resort. Please note campsites are non powered (Caravans and RV's welcome for unpowered visits in off peak times) It is a 10 min drive from Nelligen town centre and a 20 min drive from Batemans Bay. If you need supplies you can also travel by boat into Batemans Bay and tie up to many of its wharfs for that different experience. The camping area is surrounded by walking tracks and over the Christmas period the renowned Clyde Berry Farm is open where you can pick your own fresh berries or relax on the grounds for a ice-cream. You will find Shallow Crossing is also just a 10 min drive up the River Road for an exhilarating swim in fresh mountain water. The traditional water side camp kitchen offers a BBQ and table to eat. Has power and lighting, fresh drinking water, toilet, hot and cold shower and plenty of cover. With a fire pit just outside for toasting of marshmallows this makes for the best camping spot in the region. Please be mindful this is a camping and caravaning experience, there is for your convenience a flushing toilet (bring own toilet paper) and shower onsite, in busy periods (peak times) there may be a slight wait for these amenities. This site has its own concrete boat ramp making a heaven for all fisho's and skiers. The ramp is totally safe to launch any watercraft. With water onsite you can even flush motors at the end of the day. The property has Telstra coverage for added security.
