The 2WD accessible sites feature spectacular views to the right, towards Mt Panorama and Mt Horrible and towards Mt Canobolas to the left. The ultimate Farm Solitude Camping experience. If you want to get away from it all and relax in a secluded Campsite surrounded by beautiful Native Bushland or explore miles of trails, gullies, caves, Flight Springs Creek and the exquisite Bow River, take some time to camp at Hillside, which is a remote 2000 acre working cattle property situated 23km west of MERRIWA, 14 km off the Golden Highway, adjoining the Goulburn River National Park. All sites are in secluded area's far away from each other but at busy times people may pass by some sites to access the river. There are plenty of walking trails and for the enthusiastic bushwalker, the Bow River winds its way 7km down to the Goulburn River through the National Park with its gentle flowing stream and rock pools nestled between sandstone cliffs of caves with open area's. All sites are pet friendly, but pets must be kept on leash and cleaned up after. Note: The National Park holds their annual wild dog baiting program from 20/5/24 - 8/10/24 Which is done along our boundary on Bow River. It is safer not to have your dog in this area at this time. If you decide to, make sure it is kept on leash at all times and doesn't eat anything that could be laying around. Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions and campers can collect their own small firewood. Cut firewood is available for $10 per/large bundle, cash only. There is an abundance of wildlife; Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats, Foxes, Emu's, Goanna's, Lizards, Snakes, Echidna's, water Dragons, Turtles, Fish, Eagles and plenty of Birds to see. 4WD and High vehicles are recommended as tracks have rocky outcrops and some areas of loose sand. The Bow River area is strictly 4WD access as it is steep with loose gravel. New for Hipcampers and opening soon are our Outback 4WD Tracks. Explore around 20km of tracks with something for everyone from the first timer to the very experienced driver. "Gully View Campsite" is the closest site to the property entrance. It is ideal for people who will be travelling back and forwards from the property to attend other events. It is also ideal for those travelling in groups who want to be together but to also have their own private space to set up in for some time-out. It can also be set up as a communal campground for large groups. There are plenty of trails for Horse Riding (you will need to provide your own temporary fencing). Guests are required to be fully self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Some Campsites now have toilets. At certain times some sites may be unavailable due to Cattle grazing in the same paddock. Cows are very curious and can be destructive to your vehicle and belongings. Phone Service is very limited in this area. If you email a request, it may take a few hours for us to reply. WARNING: There are many areas of cliff edges and shear drops! Children must be supervised at all times while exploring these areas. There are also dams at or near some of the campsite areas that could be dangerous if children wander off exploring alone. Canoelands Orchard Camping

Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

Country Journey, Boxgrove farm

With over 600 acres of Australian bush, our property is ideal for campers that want their own space. We are completely off-grid (no wifi to distract you) and we run off tank water (for this reason showers are only available for two hours in the evening). There are multiple camp sites on the property - some are close to hot showers and toilets, others are within a short walking distance. Some sites are perfect for our self sufficient campers who might want a nice private location and don't need access to amenities. There are two shared camp kitchen areas (with pizza ovens and bbqs). We have two amenities blocks with toilets and hot showers and two further compost toilets located at other sites. Campfires are permitted in designated areas (check with us when booking) and firewood can be added to your booking - we do require at least 24 hours notice if you want wood. There are lots of old-style games for the kids such as cricket, tennis, playground, bikes available, a swim in the dam and general country running around fun! Unfortunately we no longer have our flying fox, but there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy. We have some great bush walking areas where you might be lucky enough to see our resident wombats or our breeding pair of Wedge-tailed Eagles. You might also be lucky enough to be there when our two kelpies, Finn and Tori, are moving sheep through the property (they like to put on a show!!). The property dates back to the early 1900s and there are numerous historic buildings on the property. The earliest is a wooden slab hut that was built around the beginning of the 19th century - the Goulburn Penny Post newspaper, dated 3 December 1904 lines the walls of the hut. It also has a two shearing stand wooden shed built by Marcus Dawe in 1922. We try to make sure all of our guests have a great experience - so if you have any special requests reach out to us and have a chat!

Wander along the river banks just enjoying the serenity of the location and witness platypus feeding, water dragons sunning themselves and the brown trout fly feeding and one of Australia's beautiful but lesser known native rodents, Rakali (intelligent semi aquatic water rat who's scientific name translates to golden -bellied water mouse). One of Australia's two aquatic mammals, the platypus being the other. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. IF NO CHEMICAL TOILET, DIG A HOLE AT LEAST 30CM DEEP . There is access to a drinking water supply (mountain river water), or you can bring your own water. After heavy rain you may need to boil/filter for drinking. You will need a 4WD to access the campsites closest to the river as there is a shallow gully crossing. Camper trailer or off road pop up campers will be able to negoiate the tracks. Good clearance necessary to pass over one gully crossing. Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp. Kids aged 16 and under camp for free. There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats. Your family may enjoy taking a bushwalk that takes you around the 300 acre native bush paddock. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. Identify the unique sounds of the native birds and follow the tracks wildlife create. We are centrally located - just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and from the best beaches of the NSW coastline. There is a small general store, 2 takeaway cafes and a pub at Nimmitabel, or you can get all supplies in Cooma 25 mins away. Please note that we have very limited reception service for mobiles, so let's communicate via messages before you arrive in our area. If you want to get away from it all and relax in a secluded Campsite surrounded by beautiful Native Bushland or explore miles of trails, gullies, caves, Flight Springs Creek and the exquisite Bow River, take some time to camp at Hillside, which is a remote 2000 acre working cattle property situated 23km west of MERRIWA, 14 km off the Golden Highway, adjoining the Goulburn River National Park. All sites are in secluded area's far away from each other but at busy times people may pass by some sites to access the river. There are plenty of walking trails and for the enthusiastic bushwalker, the Bow River winds its way 7km down to the Goulburn River through the National Park with its gentle flowing stream and rock pools nestled between sandstone cliffs of caves with open area's. All sites are pet friendly, but pets must be kept on leash and cleaned up after. Note: The National Park holds their annual wild dog baiting program from 20/5/24 - 8/10/24 Which is done along our boundary on Bow River. It is safer not to have your dog in this area at this time. If you decide to, make sure it is kept on leash at all times and doesn't eat anything that could be laying around. Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions and campers can collect their own small firewood. Cut firewood is available for $10 per/large bundle, cash only. There is an abundance of wildlife; Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats, Foxes, Emu's, Goanna's, Lizards, Snakes, Echidna's, water Dragons, Turtles, Fish, Eagles and plenty of Birds to see. 4WD and High vehicles are recommended as tracks have rocky outcrops and some areas of loose sand. The Bow River area is strictly 4WD access as it is steep with loose gravel. New for Hipcampers and opening soon are our Outback 4WD Tracks. Explore around 20km of tracks with something for everyone from the first timer to the very experienced driver. "Gully View Campsite" is the closest site to the property entrance. It is ideal for people who will be travelling back and forwards from the property to attend other events. It is also ideal for those travelling in groups who want to be together but to also have their own private space to set up in for some time-out. It can also be set up as a communal campground for large groups. There are plenty of trails for Horse Riding (you will need to provide your own temporary fencing). Guests are required to be fully self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Some Campsites now have toilets. At certain times some sites may be unavailable due to Cattle grazing in the same paddock. Cows are very curious and can be destructive to your vehicle and belongings. The Blue Mountains

NSW North Coast

The coastline of northern NSW, from north of Newcastle to the Queensland border, is classic beach holiday territory. Almost every town has at least one caravan park, often with waterfront campsites, and most of the coastline is protected by national parks with fantastic camping spots and facilities. Flanked by the Great Dividing Range and World Heritage rainforests, the North Coast has Hipcampers spoilt for choice.

NSW South Coast

Every bit as wild as the North Coast, the South Coast stretches south of Sydney to the Victorian border with a string of national parks, state forests, campgrounds, and seaside towns with family-friendly holiday parks. Kangaroos and wallabies graze the camping grounds and laze on the beaches, which have some of the whitest sand in the world. Kayak the waterways, bushwalk the forests, and soak in the views from the mountaintops.

Snowy Mountains

Alpine New South Wales, also known as the Snowy Mountains, stretches from the ACT south to the Victorian border along the spine of the Great Dividing Range. Along with hundreds of camping spots, the big attraction of Kosciuszko National Park—the largest national park in NSW—is Australia’s highest peak, Mount Kosciuszko. In winter, the area is a magnet for skiers, and in summer, fishing, bushwalking, and mountain biking reign supreme.

NSW Outback

The far western corner of NSW is a great introduction to the Outback, where endless red dust plains seem to stretch on forever under cloudless blue skies. Take a road trip out here and you'll see plenty of kangaroos and emus, but not many people. National parks such as Mungo, Mutawintji, and Kinchega offer superb camping spots, Aboriginal art sites, and stunning scenery.
