Stonesthrow

31 sites · RVs, Tents106 acres · Illinbah, QLD
Stonesthrow is a rural property in the Illinbah valley, nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, with council approval for limited camping (4WD only - leave no trace). So if you want to escape the crowds at public campgrounds, your privacy and enjoyment are assured! We are NOT a 4WD park so vehicles must be parked up at your site on arrival and left there unless leaving the property to go to town/tourist activities. Any exploration of the property or travel to toilets is strictly on foot only- NO 4WD'ing. Anyone driving around the property will be asked to leave. There is 500 m of (shallow) creek frontage, kms of walking/riding trails and grassy creek flats for recreational activities. Over the decades, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses. There is also a variety of fruit trees and plantation timber. Caravans are restricted on where they can access- with no guarantee of sufficient sunlight for solar. Elevated/remote sites cannot be reached with a caravan- please bear this in mind if booking with a caravan. Elevated/remote sites require capable 4WD's with off-road/AT/mud tyres only and campers need to be fully self-sufficient including having their own chemical camping toilets. If you don't have your own commercial chemical camping toilet then you will be given a choice of sites with access to facilities. We reserve the right to view/verify your toilet before allowing you access to the elevated/remote sites. Well behaved dogs welcome as long as they are on a lead when moving about the property. The common area (old shearing shed) has composting toilets, communal fridge, microwave, jug, drinking water, sink for washing up and table/chairs. Crystal Creek Ranch

19 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents100 acres · Upper Crystal Creek, NSW
Welcome to my beautiful 100 acres that backs on to Springbrook National Park. There are crystal clear freshwater creeks. Most campsites next to the creek. The property is mostly natural bush with some cleared patches for camping and horse grazing. The road entering the property is damaged due to the resent rain and you will need to drive through water. Most cars are safe but if you have a low set car or if you are delicate with your car I would not recommend. Only 30 mins from natural arch and 20 mins to great fishing and crabbing in the tweed river. Dog friendly (must be well controlled no aggressive dogs). Drop toilets and hot showers. There are 2 cabins available each with private portable toilet and hot outdoor showers. Campfires permitted ( when fire bans not in place) and wood can be purchased in advance during booking process. No fire wood to be collected off property BYO or purchase in advance. Not a place for loud music and parties, happy for everyone to have fun but noise is restricted. If you are a disturbance to other campers you will be asked to leave without a refund. PLEASE READ THE CANCELLATION POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING!!!

Caravan parks near Kyogle guide

Overview

Surrounded by dozens of national parks, conservation areas, and state forests, Kyogle is a caravan camping hotspot brimming with outdoor activities and gorgeous scenery. Spend some time in town at a pet-friendly caravan park—look out for powered sites with access to hot showers, laundry facilities, and a camp kitchen. Or head 40 minutes north to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Border Ranges National Park to find more rural caravan sites with picnic tables, BBQ facilities, and toilets. February brings the most rain to the area, so make sure to pack a waterproof jacket when exploring the sights during this time. Venture along the Bar Mountain Circuit, Palm Forest Walking Track, or get a bird's-eye view from the Border Loop Lookout at any time of year. Richmond Range National Park, another World Heritage site, is within an hour’s drive from Kyogle and offers trails for walking and horseback riding, as well as a scenic campground with rustic campsites. Visit in spring to view the abundant wildlife or in autumn for clear skies that bring top-notch stargazing.
