Your group can hire Tejn Loft so you can all enjoy the property for private camping without any other groups or campers on the property. *** REQUIREMENT: Minimum 2-night stay for groups of 6 adults or adults/children mix equivalent to 6 adults. In a beautiful rural setting bordering the MacDonald River, you will have exclusive use during your stay, including a full kitchen (cooker, kettle, microwave, fridge-freezer & dishwasher), fire pit, and BBQ. We have one flushing toilet and an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The site is offered to one group only. Please note Tejn Loft is not a place for loud or rowdy parties. You are very welcome to come and enjoy yourselves and take in the peace and noise nature provides with your friends and family. Pets are welcome, but please refer to the rules. The land where Tejn Loft stands was initially built by my father, Flemming Falk, who moved to Australia from Tejn in Denmark in 1974. Our family has enjoyed the land and the location near St Albans for many years, and we would now like to share it with you and your friends and family.

    This property is a Pristine Riverfront property in Colo Valley. It is a tidal river with sandy shallow sandbars and 10ft deep swimming holes. There is an abundance of native animals here including kangaroos, lyre birds, lace monitors, platypus and more! Access is via a short dirt driveway to the riverfront camping area. The access is 2wd unless there has been significant rain it becomes 4wd access.We can accommodate both small and large groups with sites just steps away from the river. We have 2 water entrances, one is a large grassed area with shallow water which is great for kids & families. The other entrance is a natural sandy entry with a deeper swimming area suitable for adults. We also have a beautiful lagoon area where I can arrange additional campers. We have built some new flushing toilets (3) with a hot water shower.We are very accommodating of your pets. We welcome dogs and can host horses in one of the paddocks. Please ensure you contact the host prior to your stay if you are bringing any animals. We have canoes & floats which you can hire to paddle up the river. Additional activities here include fishing, swimming, bushwalking, canoeing & birdwatching.     Warm Corner was a real luxury as a last stop before the long drive home. Lambert & Deborah were incredibly welcoming and hospitable with our last minute booking. It was dark, raining and very soggy when we arrived, so to have access to warm shower and a sheltered area, our stress levels were brought down a notch. Lambert greeted us and made us feel extremely comfortable. Lovely humans sharing a lovely space for tired and weary travellers. Thank you!

    The bathrooms were very clean. I think if they had a sink to wash the dishes ans a shelter with some tables, it would be very nice. I was camping with tent and it was hard doing the washing up only under the tap. Also it rain the whole weekend and it didn't have a shelter.I think because most people have traillers or motor home.

    Our group had a fantastic time at Tejn loft. Having an undercover dining area, indoor kitchen and hot shower was a real treat particularly on a rainy weekend. The grounds are well maintained and the scenery is stunning. The kitchen is well equipped and the all the little touches made our trip so easy (tea towel provided for use 🙌🏻). We will definitely be back to enjoy this stunning spot again.

    We loved our time at Tejn Loft Campsite. I can't describe how well set up the facilities are. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! Multiple fridges, dishwasher, cooking items, dishes and plenty of power and usb ports for charging etc. Covered BBQ area with 2 x BBQs made cooking for a large group a breeze. Then there's the divine shower and flushing toilet which were quite the luxury. We had a few first-time campers in our group and the facilities made it an easy introduction for them. We are already planning our next trip! Thanks for sharing it with us.

    Michaela, Hogan and Teddy (furbaby) together with their two majestic horses, Cash and Oggy, greeted us with warm welcome. They were very friendly and accommodating which made our weekend even more wonderful. Michaela was very friendly and compassionate. I enjoyed having a healthy convo with her. Also, she was so kind to have no restriction on our check out time. Which made our last day even more comfortable because we do not need to rush off and pack everything. We took our time which was very relaxing tbh. The Aldi shop was just less than 10-minute drive away..easy access to get a pack of ice or foodies. Overall, this experience at Michaela was really amazing. Would recommend it and would definitely come back

    This was our second time coming to shady acres and will be back again. The campsite is nice and grassy with a firepit to use. The toilets and shower are modern and in good condition. The two campsites are a fair distance away so you have your own swimming area and it feels like you have the place to yourselves. The river is crystal clear and nice and shallow for kids to play around. Can recommend.

The fully equipped kitchen provided a homely touch, allowing even the occasional campers to effortlessly take part and contribute to group meals. The firewood quality was phenomenal—the best I’ve ever encountered! Be prepared to order around six lots for a weekend, as it burns splendidly and you’ll want to enjoy it to the fullest. A must-do activity is the riverside walk, offering refreshing views and serene moments in nature. Everyone in our group couldn’t stop raving about the immaculate shower facilities—they were a delightful luxury after a day of adventure.     The site was perfectly set up campers who are beginners or disorganised. The facilities provided were clean and in excellent conditions. The hosts were very friendly and responsive to our questions. Most importantly they were super helpful when our tires went flat. They went out of their way to provide us with the correct tools and directions to places to get tires fixed etc. very friendly and approachable. Highly recommend this place.
