Kintelliko

3 sites · RVs, Tents2 acres · Newcastle, NSW
A beautiful flat grassy bed for your Rv, caravan or tent awaits you at Kintelliko. Kintelliko means “to laugh” in the local Awabakal language and we hope to share our joy of living on this beautiful acreage nestled into 100 acres of bushland - yet only 5 minutes to the beach, lake and shops. Your fully powered site has everything you could need. A compost toilet (sorry you have to share it with the brush tail possum who’s decided it’s nice there), an amazing outdoor hot shower made from a huge sculpture, an outdoor kitchen with BBQ and stainless steel benches (it’s out in the open). Here's a list of nearby things to do! https://maps.app.goo.gl/dTWofk8ToBP8aD6x9

Wanderlust Retreat

18 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents222 acres · Putty, NSW
We looked for alternative ways of living 6 years ago so we purchased 220 acres to build an off grid camping/eco resort. The property consists of a straw bale house, Tipis, Cottages, 5 stars shared facilities (hot showers, flushing toilets - disable toilet ), outdoor kitchen (gas bbq, pizza oven, all kitchen utensils, pots ), solar system and worm farm septic system. The facilities of the camping are quite luxurious some guests labelling them "better than at home" so you can enjoy the bush experience & still have the comfort of a home. Here you can discover amazing wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, cockatoos, lyre birds and a lot of other birds (designated bird drinking stations through a WIRES program which has a lot of success.) Bring a camera and take in the incredible sights such as wildlife, cliffs, caves, and a magical view of Mount Yengo and Moruben from the top of the property. They are designated walking tracks around the property with all variable lengths & difficulties. Pets friendly Access all-wheel drive Events possible Please enjoy some of the reviews our previous guests have left for us: "Wanderlust has a beautiful hidden valley and thanks for sharing with us. We bush walked and climbed mountains (it felt like it). Back at our camp; delicious dinner, some nice reds and a beautifully relaxing camp fire. A great little getaway. " - Michelle and Paul. "Great location, quiet and private, basic accommodation, plenty of space! Great for a group getaway!!" "Absolute gen of a property and such humble owners. Thanks for all your time and effort to make our weekend away so accommodating!"

Wollombi Rolling Ridges

1 site · RV, Tent100 acres · Laguna, NSW
Ridgetop views evoke stillness and quiet to enjoy the abundant nature, from lyre birds, black cockatoos, wallabies, wombats, goannas as well as many different bird species depending on the season. October/November is flush with flannel flowers and other wild flowers thanks to bushfires and floods. Whilst the property is 100 acres, we also border Yengo State Forrest so if you're experienced hikers you can tramp until your hearts content without needing permission to cross private properties. The black summer bushfire regrowth is dense and difficult to travers. so I have cut in a loop walk to a rock ledge lookout (see pics) and there is also a 3km return walk to dry creek bed, boardered by pancake rock platforms and beautiful old trees. The access roads are dirt tracks which you can ride your bicycle but being on a ridge there is a steep climb back up. But no trailbikes allowed. Ideal for those who wish to immerse themselves in pristine nature while being only 1.5 hrs from Newcastle or Wahroonga (start of M1) There are 2 camping pads so if you are a group you can spread out but I want it to be private for each group I host, so even if you are only 2 people there won't be any other campers, hence the price is positioned to reflect this. We live simply in a Yurt on solar and rain water, apart from us, you will be the only campers so you are able to enjoy the quiet all to yourselves. (See pic 4 to see distance yurt is from camping pad). Have a 4 month old Border Collie Cross and training her to be well socialised around other dogs. If you are looking for a party, this is not the place for you. It's the place for stargazers and nature lovers. In the evenings, you won't hear us nor my neighbours so it's only fair that my neighbours don't hear you. No loud music allowed, being a ridge the noise travels and it scares away the wildlife. We're 15mins on dirt tracks from Wollombi village. 2WD vehicle needs high clearance and dry tracks, so check with me first. 4WD and AWD preferable. Dogs love roaming around off leash, if yours is good with recall, as there's no fencing. Children under 5yrs no charge. You may use our composting loo or bring your own camping loo. Our loo is about 100m walk from camping pad. (see pic 5 and 6) Please be aware only firepit/cooking fire is allowed from 1st October to 31st March. Firepit provided (see pic 7 ) or you can bring your own. Open bonfires allowed from 1st April to 30th Sept, as per state rules. Regardless of season all fires are Bushfire Rating Dependant. Cut firewood to fit firepit can be purchased, please let me know in advance. Alternatively you can roam around and collect what has fallen on the ground.

(please bring your own toilet paper) Pets are very welcome but must remain ON A LEAD at all times, as we have Kangaroos Wombats Cattle and Horses on Farm. We are just under 3 hours from Sydney, 1.5 hours from Newcastle and 20min from the small country town of Denman or 15min to Sandy Hollow. Please put in ‘Beelisco Honey’ into google maps to see how far we are from you. Sandy Hollow - approx 15 mins drive from camp. Sandy Hollow has a pub with very yummy meals. Find their menu on their FB page. Sandy Hollow Tourist Hotel. Whilst in Sandy Hollow check out the..... Sandy Hollow Village Emporium and Spill the Beans Espresso Bar. Great for Breakfast, lunch or Just a Coffee/Milkshake and a look in the gift shop. Denman - approx 20 mins drive from camp. Denman still has that ol country charm feel about it and is well worth the visit. Denman has fine wine and liqueurs, (make sure you check out.. Hunter Valley Liqueurs and Baerami Olives) Also a local butcher shop to get all of your meat for your stay (The Chop Shop Butchery Denman) If you go into Denman don't forget to check out the Denman Craft Shop located on the corner in with the information centre, across from both pubs. They have all of the local arts, crafts and our Delicious Beelisco Honey. Well worth the visit. Our farm is a family run business with Husband, wife and 2 young boys, we run horses and cattle all year round and grow Lucerne hay on a few large flats around the farm. We also produce farm fresh pure raw bush Honey (Beelisco Honey) We hope you enjoy your tranquil camping experience and feel relaxed and refreshed. Kamameja Remote Bush Camp

36 sites · RVs, Tents705 acres · Singleton, NSW
Kamameja is 705 acres of mountainous wilderness located in the Upper Hunter region of NSW, near Jerrys Plains in a remote location with approximately 22 km of gravel Commission access road that winds through some stunning mountain ranges. Please note you need to pass through private property and national park to reach our location - shut all gates that you come through, respect national park rules and drive to conditions. We recommend accessing our property by 4wd only as the road is narrow, not regularly maintained and not suitable for large vehicles or caravans. The extensive trail network is available to ride or walk and are included in the camping fees. For the gravity junkies MTB shuttles can be booked as an extra on checkout and the timing of these need to be organized with the owners.
