I have a small private property with grass campsites by a tidal outlet to Port Stephens harbour. We do not offer secluded camp sites away from other people on large acreage.
You can spend your days fishing, kayaking or enjoying Nelson Bay and surrounding areas and beaches which are only 15 minutes away. Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi.
Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Yes there are mozzies because you are near water, so bring repellent.
Pets are welcome but must stay on a leash throughout your stay.
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
Please BYO firewood.
Fires are only permitted when there are no fire restrictions and in the designated fire pit and designated fire pit area for your own fire pit.
Children 16 & under stay for free. Please notify host if you are bringing children.
Please be careful and supervise young children near the water.

Michaels Place is 18 acres but mostly bushland, about 5 acres grassed area. It's kind of hidden but central to everything in Lake Munmorah, Frazer national park is minutes away. The lake is in walking distance as is bowling club , shopping centre.

It is sacred to the original people as two rivers meet here which was auspicious, and sacred to me and all that visit. The Aboriginal people used to live and commune here. And now it seems a place where people like to be, and Rest and Rejuvenation - even healing happens here.Since moving here myself in 2014 it has been a place of transformation and change. The land itself was abandoned with rubbish and weeds everywhere when I arrived and with a bit of hard work, some patience and care it has become a place of beauty. It has been returned to much more of its natural and native state. This process of positive change has created a healing in the environment and for myself, and visitors express this magic in the air.Nowadays we are offering meditation, yoga, and therapeutic types of practices in the main home that the land and campsite is a part of. Nestled on the edge of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park with views across Pittwater, I invite you to come and enjoy the peace only a location like the Boathouse Retreat @ Elvina Bay can offer which includes experiencing bush walks to the top and bottom of the waterfall and Aboriginal Carvings as well as kayaking to the surrounding beautiful bays, to swimming off the jetty.
The boathouse is fully self-contained with a comfortable queen-size bed, a well-equipped kitchen, toilet and hot rainwater shower with bath towels provided. The Boathouse has heating for winter and a brazier for your toasty outdoor fire.
You can come by your own vessel and tie it up on the pontoon if you wish during your stay . The pontoon accommodates vessels from 12ft - 50ft. Please contact us to discuss if doing so.
You can come by Sea Plane if you wish from Sydney and if you do I can meet you at the mouth of the bay in my boat, or I can arrange to pick you up from the carpark at the Church Pt Ferry Wharf in my boat to take you across to the Boathouse.
At the end of your stay I'm more than happy to take you back to Church Pt in my boat.
No Fishing , no smoking no vaping , no kids and pets please.
