I went there with 9 other people. The location is stunning: it has a sort of "jungle" vibe which really makes you feel out of the world. The facilities are amazing: toilet, huge kitchen and dining with every tool you may need. More than a campsite, it felt like being in an Airbnb and sleeping in a tent in the garden! Really 10/10, top value for the price we paid. The owners were super helpful and chill too. They allowed us to check out later than the 1030 allowed by just saying "of course mate, it's Sunday, take it easy" :) Really really recommended!

Lavender Hill

Lavender Hill is a 34 acre property on the outskirts of the historic town of Wingham. Since purchasing the property in 2021, we are developing permaculture gardens, a fruit orchard and a camping area with a small herb garden, where we lived in a caravan for 9 months. Lavender Hill is our home and we ask campers to respect our property and our neighbours. The converted hay shed provides an undercover area with a table and chairs. It is wheelchair accessible. A gas BBQ is available for an extra cost per night. Firewood is supplied at arrival and more can be purchased. Nearby, there is a composting toilet and hot shower, with a stunning view! (not wheelchair accessible, sorry). Water is available for washing up, but not suitable for drinking or cooking. The price listed is for 2 adults. Please talk with us about family rates. We have a small herd of cows, 10 chickens, 1 rooster and a farm cat called Pippa. Eastern grey kangaroos graze in nearby paddocks in the early morning. Birdsong fills the morning air. From the camping area, and many areas on the property, you can see the Comboyne mountain range changing colour throughout the day. Everywhere you look, you can enjoy beautiful views. See 360 degree sunrises, misty mornings, stunning sunsets and the magnificent night sky. Evenings, mornings and nights are peaceful and quiet, although you might hear the lowing of the cows or the rooster staking his territory if you wake at night. Paths are slashed through the paddocks if you want to enjoy a leisurely walk or bike ride around the property. Enjoy a range of fresh produce including an organic range from local shops in Wingham, delicious meat from local butchers, sourdough bread, health foods and great coffee, meals and gifts from popular local cafes and shops, and if our chickens are laying, some fresh eggs. Launch your boat onto the Manning River in Wingham, and explore the National Parks that are within an hours drive, including Ellenborough Falls and cafe. Fall in love with Wingham and the Manning Valley as you explore on day trips to Gloucester, Wauchope, Old Bar, Blackhead and Forster. Outside Solar shower also set up where you can gaze at the sky above but private so modesty is protected! We have two full dams that host our 2 ducks, free range chooks (collect your own fresh eggs daily-not available in winter), 5 guinea fowl a couple of farm cats and awesome birds-Rainbow Lorikeets, King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas and Kookaburras. We also have a couple of swamp hen families. A number of fruit bats from Wingham brush reach us most nights at dusk. We have also seen an owl near the chicken coop and if you're lucky you may spot the kangaroos in the paddock. We welcome tents, campervans, trailer tents and caravans but you need to provide your own water- outside solar shower is available that can be filled up at the rainwater tank by the camp kitchen. Although we do have a porta potty that can be hired. Nearby Wingham showgrounds has a dump point. We have The Paddock that suits all vehicles- Max 6 parties at once. We also have more private spot Woodland Area which suits just one party but vehicle access is a couple of mins walk and further to the camp kitchen. Fires allowed but only in contained firepits and off ground. We currently have 3 firepit presently to use at your own site (must be kept off ground on bricks provided) or shared one is provided by camp kitchen. Fires not allowed during total fire bans Take your camping chairs to the edge of 1 of 2 dams and watch our pet ducks. The campsite is 2WD accessible and has plenty of space for your caravan, campervan or camper trailer. Pets on leashes are welcome. Plenty to see and do around here.

I have a small private property with grass campsites by a tidal outlet to Port Stephens harbour. We do not offer secluded camp sites away from other people on large acreage. You can spend your days fishing, kayaking or enjoying Nelson Bay and surrounding areas and beaches which are only 15 minutes away. Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi. Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Fame Mountain Camp - pets welcome

We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle. 2 mins to Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop, 11 minutes to surf beach, 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach. Pets are welcome, but please pick up after them. Free firewood - Help yourself to what you need. The logs will need to be split as required. An axe and a wheelbarrow are supplied and are stored, in the firewood storage shed. - Every site has a fire pit. Hot showers and clean, decent toilets. Good mobile signal for Telstra and Optus networks. Two Communal Fridges and a cold communal spa. There is lots of space for campers so you will have privacy whilst you enjoy your camping adventure. We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm. Good fishing. Pretty much everywhere you can wet a line. Prawns are best bait. If your dog is on the government list of restricted breeds or on the dangerous dog list please leave at home We have a gentle, well trained old German Shepherd who adores kids but after being bitten by another dog, now prefers to stay inside the house and not visit the camp sites. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. 4) NO late night check in . If you are a group larger than two people the check in time is between midday and sunset. Do not arrive after sunset. The reason being if you are a large group turning up late, you will ruin the camping experience of other campers who got there earlier to watch the sunset and just chill. Furthermore, the sunsets are one of the reasons people come here. Every single day it is totally different. If you arrive late you have missed it.... 5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a slope. We do have several flat areas for tents , hybrids, camper vans and small caravans. You are not limited to a small site, you can use as much space as you desire, and we ask that guests respect others and give each other some room. In addition to the camping area, there is a small off-street, shaded area for a small number of campervans, there are no powered sites and sorry but we do not take caravans. All guests have access to the facilities including warm showers and toilets, a large Main building housing double kitchens with crockery and cutlery, toasters and kettles. There are indoor and outdoor covered seating areas and a free gas BBQ on the decked area with free Wi-Fi available. The Tomaree Peninsula has 26 beaches with numerous walking trails, including the recently upgraded Tomaree Coastal Walk and plenty of water activities including Dolphin and Whale watching cruises, diving, surfing, kayaking, fishing and snorkelling. Nelson Bay is the main tourist centre with plenty of restaurants and cafes and there are more clubs and food options dotted around the peninsula.

Eagles Rest

If you value your privacy, then you are at the right place. We have just one exclusive campsite on our 40 acres. You are hidden away and guaranteed privacy from the host accommodations. Private access is by 4WD only. Farm route is accessible by 2WD in dry weather - check with hosts before or on confirmation of booking. Access during unpredictable weather will depend on your vehicle/camper/caravan configuration. Please check with host prior if you are unsure. We are more than willing to make it work for you. On arrival, guests are met by host and directed to the site. Camp site is a secluded, grassy spot beside the creek, among tall gum trees, where you can enjoy peace and serenity. Perfect for families or group of friends. The creek has lovely shallow areas suitable for kids to splash and play in. Occasionally you may see sea eagles soaring overhead, they nest in one of the trees along the creek beside your camp area. Camp area has a composting drop toilet housed in an outback style 'dunny' shed. Fresh rainwater is available. The site has a fire pit and some light fire wood laying around from fallen branches, plus mesh to place over the fire pit if you wish to use the fire for cooking. (There will always be smaller branches and kindling available for fires however, larger and longer burning wood is not guaranteed all season.) Well behaved pets are welcome. You may be visited by some cattle during your stay...they will keep out of your way. There are some large and unique trees to admire and keep your eye out for wildflowers that grow along the creek. There is an active eagle's nest in one of the trees. Guests are welcome to explore down the creek where you'll find some great swimming holes. For a relaxing stroll, guests are welcome to walk the farm fence lines which are regularly maintained with a mower. There are so many beautiful local attractions to visit. Our local village is less than 2kms from the property where you will find Byabarra Cafe for excellent refreshments. Then a gorgeous drive up onto the plateau and you will find Comboyne village with a historic 1905 goal, Larrikins Lockup. And if you are feeling more adventurous, Rawson Falls and Ellenborough Falls make lovely day trips. And Comboyne Rock provides some stunning views. Upon arrival your host will provide you with an information pack on local attractions and general Hip Camp house rules and guidelines for your safety and enjoyment.

Situated in beautiful Diamond Beach and backing on to the national park, this property offers two beautiful campsites suitable for tents, caravans, and campervans. Both sites are fenced so your dogs can be off-leash while inside the campsite (on-leash at all other times). Bush walk, bird watch or bring your kayak to paddle in the dam. You’ll feel like you’re miles away from it all, but it’s only a few minutes’ drive to dog-friendly beaches (Diamond Beach and Black Head Beach), cafes, a pub and a supermarket.
