    Lovely views from the hill sitting on 42 acres within a valley south of Canberra. Room to explore, with close access to walking trails, lots of wildlife including some very stubborn wombats, kangaroos and lots of birds, lizards, and friendly horses that will do anything for carrots. Its far enough out of town for complete silence, but only 30 minutes back into town. Close to Googong Dam (which is great for fishing, kayaking, walking). Dog friendly so the whole family can visit. Suits campers who have their own toilet and leave no trace. No amenitiies.

The walking trail will have you crossing the Adelong Creek and is a beautiful and scenic experience. We are close to Tumut and within reach of the Snowy Mountains, there is plenty of 4WD opportunities and beautiful views surrounding us. We are also walking distance to the pub! Campfires are welcome in the fire pit we have created, we will supply a small amount of firewood to get you started but you may like to bring along some more. Pets are welcome on leash, we have a dog as well and your pet must be good to the cows. We often have friendly kangaroos that visit too.

Turn LEFT off Hume Highway into Adelong Creek Rd if you are driving from the South OR turn Right across freeway if you are driving from Gundagai Iconic Gundagai village is only 8 km away. Water sports, hiking, horse riding and skiing are all available in the nearby area. Also only 45 minutes from Wagga Wagga. Pets are welcome but must be contained to protect nature and wildlife. Campfires are permitted but you must have your own fire pit.

    Thanks Luke and Victoria for a wonderful Easter stay. Even though we shared the property with other campers there was plenty of space to spread out and our spot up on the hill was perfect. The amenities were great and the view from the top of the hill was fantastic. The property was easy to find and accessible with a camper trailer. We will definitely be back again!

    2nd stay within 6 months and as always happy for the private property & price :) ⛺ Stayed in Easter weekend with about 20 other groups and still felt as if we had plenty of 'our space'. 🔒 It's so good just to dump your stuff & head out for the day knowing it's behind a locked gate. ⚒️ There is a few fossicking areas nearby if you want a little dirt drive. 🚽 Loo with a a view for a bit smashed as expected, after morning breaky aha. 📸 Got great astro photography and sunset shot 🐦 Kookies, Eastern & Crimson Rosellas, Galahs, Cockatoos, Choughs, tits, magpie parks, & fairy wrens all around. Do not need 4x4 to enter dirt to the property, do not need 4x4 to access paddock when dry. If camping near dam or in Bushland, or of course towing may need to engage 4x4. But generally speaking you won't need to (we didn't touch it both times) Thanks again for having us 🙏🏼

    Great spot with wineries, good food and Canberra all within 30min. The campgrounds are well shaded and there is plenty of firewood to spend those nights under the stars. We could relax because the area was fenced for the dogs but they were large enough so you don’t feel enclosed. Thank you James

    Such a great experience and perfect little getaway. Camp sites are well spread out/ right on the river and you’re surrounded by cows! We had a nice little camp fire with the firewood that we purchased from Wayne and it worked great, we had more than enough for the one night we were there. Wayne was super lovely and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

We are half a kilometre from the main road behind locked gates, and just 10 minutes from town for all your supply needs. There are plenty of scenic walks and fishing spots nearby, at camp you can enjoy complete privacy. There is a shower and toilet available which is separate from the main residence. There is also bar fridge, large chest freezer, jug, toaster, and microwave available, We are on tank water and can offer drinking water. We ask that you are conservative with your water use, and we encourage you to bring your own.     With over 600 acres of Australian bush, our property is ideal for campers that want their own space. We are completely off-grid (no wifi to distract you) and we run off tank water (for this reason showers are only available for two hours in the evening). There are multiple camp sites on the property - some are close to hot showers and toilets, others are within a short walking distance. Some sites are perfect for our self sufficient campers who might want a nice private location and don't need access to amenities. There are two shared camp kitchen areas (with pizza ovens and bbqs). We have two amenities blocks with toilets and hot showers and two further compost toilets located at other sites. Campfires are permitted in designated areas (check with us when booking) and firewood can be added to your booking - we do require at least 24 hours notice if you want wood. There are lots of old-style games for the kids such as cricket, tennis, playground, bikes available, a swim in the dam and general country running around fun! Unfortunately we no longer have our flying fox, but there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy. We have some great bush walking areas where you might be lucky enough to see our resident wombats or our breeding pair of Wedge-tailed Eagles. You might also be lucky enough to be there when our two kelpies, Finn and Tori, are moving sheep through the property (they like to put on a show!!). The property dates back to the early 1900s and there are numerous historic buildings on the property. The earliest is a wooden slab hut that was built around the beginning of the 19th century - the Goulburn Penny Post newspaper, dated 3 December 1904 lines the walls of the hut. It also has a two shearing stand wooden shed built by Marcus Dawe in 1922. We try to make sure all of our guests have a great experience - so if you have any special requests reach out to us and have a chat!

    Stay on our 2 acre block on the edge of a small village in the southern tablelands of NSW. We are conveniently close to the Hume Highway, with a level grassed site with scattered gum trees providing shade. Travellers between Melbourne and Sydney can easily pull in off the highway for a quick set up for the night, then be back on the road the next morning. Alternatively, our site is an excellent base to stay for a few days while you explore Canberra and surrounds, as it is an hour to the Nation’s capital. Sure, we can hear the highway and occasional trains as they go past on the main line but there are also plenty of bird calls and some neighbouring wallabies. There is a small creek on the boundary of the camping block that attracts birds but is not suitable for swimming. We have town water available for campers and toilet facilities are a short 400m walk to the middle of the village. The nearest dump point is 15 minutes away in the town of Yass. Winters are excellent for small fires for cooking and then putting another log on to enjoy the rest of the evening under the stars. We have dedicated fire pits or you can use your own. As an added bonus, there are metal sculptures dotted around the block created by the host. Each site is spacious enough for up to 4 vans if you are travelling in a group. It is easy to navigate through the trees and use it as a drive through.

Sutton village (5 kms away) has a toilet block and shower amenities available. A beautiful quiet location to stay. Close to a lot of amenities, such as Bakery, Wineries, Gundaroo, Mulligan's Flat Reserve and Gunghalin shops. Sutton has a world class bakery, we recommend chicken and leek or pepper steak pies. Gundaroo has an old world pub with local wines and food. The old police station at Gundaroo has been converted to a gourmet pizza restaurant, there is also an excellent restaurant named Grazing. There is also Eagle Hawke pub, which is very popular. There are numerous wineries nearby including Gundog at Gundaroo and all of the many Murrumbateman wineries. Water refill and waste disposal is available at Queanbeyan showground. The Mulligans Flat Reserve, about 10 minutes away, is a real first in Australia, given that a very large area has been set aside near Canberra to foster wildlife. A walk through the reserve is well worth while. Check it out. None of the above should be missed if you visit our area. Situated on a farm, our property has flat terrain in most areas. We have a land for wildlife reserve on site to explore native plants and wildlife.
